Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good room to stay at for the price. Room and arear was clean. Good location, short walk to evening market, 7/11 and restaurants. Did not try restaurant on location, but seemed busy. When waking up early, there was a coffe stand almost next to hotel. Wifi was good at hotel aswell.

This hotel is right by the main attractions in Ayutthaya, such as Wat Maha That, Wat Ratchaburana and Wat Phra Ram etc. So the location is excellent. Room was clean and tidy, no strange smells and plenty of luggage storage. Air conditioner worked well. The room has towels, free toiletries a TV (with one English news channel), a fridge, western toilet and shower. The double bed was comfortable and the sheets were fresh. I like that the door to the room has functionality for you to put your own padlock as well as the normal key lock. WiFi in the room was adequate. Would come back here if I stay in Ayutthaya again.

There are a lot of insects in the room, including 4 huge crockraches . I have asked the staff to kill them at midnight but I eventually found them staying inside the toilet. Awful. I understand that this is a budget room but I couldnt accept it at all.

Just a 100m away from the minibus station in Naresuan Road, centrally located, nice clean cosy, and affordable place. You can also walk in and book a room for 600 baht if there are any available Will definitely stay there again

The place was a little hard to find. But then again, I think any hostel in this area would be difficult to find. Though an address is provided, this will mean nothing unless you are willing to stop every 5 minutes and ask a local person if they know the location of the address. If you are willing to pay a 100-200 baht to a tucu tucu at the river port, then they can take you directly to the property. I am cheap and stubborn. It would be perfect if a detailed guide was provided on how to find the location, rather than just having an address. The hostel is only 1.2 kms from the port. It took us about 40 minutes to get from the port to the hostel. On our return trip to the port, it only took us about 15 minutes. However, you can't beat this place for the price. It is very close to the temples and World Heritage Sites. I should also mention that the room and property was very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. I just wish there was a detailed guide provided on how to get to the location.

We paid cheap for this room. Arrived at midnight, had to make an international call as there was no one at the counter to assist us. Tried contacting them periodically 12 hours before arriving via the booking site that we had booked from, but to no avail. We eventually got our keys, and requested for slightly later check out timing as we were dead beat and wanted to start the day slightly later. Location was very convenient to the temples, with bicycle rent just 30 metres away. there's a fantastic looking cafe on site of hotel too. All in all, it as a fuss free experience other than the checkin part, which is possibly due to us being super late for check in. Will recommend this place.

Very cheap , and because of this I booked 2 nights, even though we were sleeping on the Chiang Mai /Ayutthaya train for the first night . There was however method in my madness . Arriving at Grandparents at 6.00am we sat outside and waited till 7:15 when someone arrived , but we were able to get the key to the room immediately, rather than waiting till 2.00 pm to check in Ideal when knackered!! Clean, comfortable bed, fridge, A/C. What else is needed ? Recommended

After arriving on the train at 5am we caught the boat across the moat and walked to the Grandparent's Home. I wouldn't recommend doing this in the heat of the day but it wasn't too bad first thing in the morning. We sat outside at a table until a woman arrived around 7am and she let us check in early which we really appreciated (I booked before we arrived). We were able to shower, nap and drop off our stuff before exploring the city. The location is good - close to bicycle rentals, wats and a few cheap eats. The rooom was clean and had a fridge which is always a treat for cold water. I recommend staying here!

This is a simple and large clean room with AC, good bed, good shower, a fridge and a good wifi. You have also a private little balconny if you have some laundry or if you want to seat around a small table for a drink...

I read about this hotel on a travel blog and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! Although very simple (no TV), it was clean and big. The bed was comfortable and there is a sitting area. The staff, whom I forgot the name (sorry), was very nice. He helped me with directions and assisted me to get tuk-tuk early in the morning the next day. They have an air-conditioned cafe, with affordable price. It was niice to chill here after a tiring day at the temple.
