Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here during our round trip in Thailand. Very big hotel, seems to aim at business travellers (there were conferences going on). Spacious reception and rooms. Big breakfast room and lots of choice. Yet we found the overall impression sad, outdated, no cosiness, something from a bygone era.

Hotel Reception air conditioning is regularly switched off …resulting in more insect bites .Soft furnishings in reception is a “home “for insects . This hotel is not cheap by Thai standards .Breakfast is excellent, beds are comfortable , rooms are a decent size but need upgrading now .Have nstayed here on 3 separate occasions but unsure if I will ever return .Switch on that hotel reception air conditioning permanently please !

Grest food and service. I loves breakfast in here. I' ve been to Ayutthaya many times. It has a nice, comfortable. I think I'll be back soon. This place is not far from Bangkok, so it's convenient to traval. I'm not worried about safety. We had a lot of fun coming here.

This hotel is a bit far out and on the wrong side of the river, Didnt seem very enthusiastic at check in. The room was fine for one night. Just down the road was a supermarket and a few bar/restaurants. The railway station is just along the road. Breakfast next morning was nice with enough choice. Wouldnt stop here again.

Clean but dated hotel This hotel claimed to be 4 star, perhaps it’s 4 star for Ayutthaya’s standard. Lobby was nice thus giving false impression of room standards. The rooms are very clean but very dated and needs major revamp. Nice spread of breakfast and very tasty. There was no amenities around the hotel therefore it can be a challenge. Also no readily available public transport, need to run out to nearby train station for tuktuk.

Quite a decent place. Older style hotel. Room fine, good river view too. Bed comfortable. Do not expect to have a refreshing shower unless you are under 150cm as it is fixed to the wall and made for small people. Anyone taller and bending down the only option, very poor really. Pool was quite good but cold as it gets no sun until much later in the afternoon. Refreshing though. Various on-site restaurants. Bar near lobby area, prices way too much I noticed. Breakfast was quite good although the staff were not friendly, seemed disinterested and some often seen larking about maybe as it was not too busy when we went. 5 minutes walking distance to train station where there are Tuk Tuks and a few eating places as well as the usual street food. 7-11 too. Train to or from BKK is worth the experience (but takes a while to go 70km) and 3rd class trip costs 15 THB...wtaf! The boat river crossing is closed at the moment as the river is too high. Getting across the river needs to be by Tuk Tuk or taxi really. Normally at least one Tuk Tuk outside the hotel too. You know the form, must haggle them down. We used Grab a lot and got where we wanted to go. Probably can walk to some of the historic sites but probably not advised and Grab is cheap and has AC so is the way to go. There is Soi Farang and Grand Street for a livelier atmosphere with more bars and restaurants, again a cheap taxi ride away. Overall not a bad place and decent location for a reasonable and not too expensive a price.

I didn’t enjoy my stay in this hotel. It’s a large, busy, noisy, impersonal tourist factory with no perceptible added value. It’s located on the wrong side of the river for easy access to the sights of Ayutthaya but it is within walking distance of the railway station. Our room was OK, however the bed was a disaster. Shower is good, lots of hot water. Wifi is good as well.

I would prefer to give no star or even minus. But unfortunately this is not possible. But see the one star for the friendly staff. The hotel is old and definitely not worth the price. There was no hot water in the room. When I asked why, the manager asked me if I needed hot water. After a day at work, hot water would be desirable. I will never visit this hotel again.

In many occasions that I visited Ayutthaya for work, running events, or for holidays with friends. I chose to stay at this hotel most of the times. I heard that this is one of the first well-established hotels (like a landmark hotel) in this old capital. Though it has long been in service for many years but the building and facilities are well renovated and especially very clean. They have facilities like restaurants (Italian, Chinese) not to mention the riverside restaurant that all the foods are very delicious. I would give 100/100. The breakfast buffet line has quite varieties to enjoy with local and western. By the way, what I love most about this place is that water from the shower is very strong and water temperature is pretty stable with lukewarm water I can adjust easily. All in all, I feel safe, comfort, and relax every time I stay here (staff are very friendly). The reason I give 5 stars is because the price is reasonable compare to the rooms, services, amenities, etc. Also, the hotel location is just 5-10 minutes away by car from city center and unesco heritage sites.
