Baan Lotus is very near the main tourist street, but not on it. The building is located in a nice, shady garden. Very friendely staff, decent rooms, affordable -- what more would you want? Definitely one of the better places to stay in Ayutthaya.

If it wasn't for the nice old lady I don't think we would have stayed here. We have a camper car and wanted to camp but she refused saying she didn't think we'd be comfortable. Can't help thinking she was just trying to make more money from us... beds have a few bed bugs and the bathroom wasn't very clean....

I can't book on Trip Advisor or any other website, you never pick up the phone (believe me, I tried to contact you A LOT) and the one time you did answer you refused to accept my reservation as we were arriving in the evening and you said you thought I wouldn't turn up. I'm sure this place is great....

Clean rooms and a friendly and helpful owner. She offers an own map which is a lot better than the tourist map. Bikes can also be hired, but are more expensive than down the road. The house has a pond with chairs and hammocks on a platform in the middle of it, which is very peaceful.

Neg: * I did not meet any old lady, but the 40ish woman I met wasn't the nicest of the bunch. I also had to pay for everything up front (e.g. the bike) even though I was staying 2 days. When I asked if I could pay at check out her reaction was pretty stressed, short and angsty? Anyhow, I...

My first night here, I stayed in a huge double A/C room with a private bathroom because that was all that was left. It was too expensive for me but beautiful and very worth the price for what it was. After that, I moved into a single fan room with shared bathroom. Everything here is clean and well maintained and...

We stayed just one night in this guesthouse but this was really enjoyable. You can rent bikes to explore Ayuttaya and you are really close ( 5-10 minutes walking) from Ayutthaya night market. You have a nice garden with a pond to drink a beer in a fabulous environment. The manager can help you to organize some excursions, she booked...

Location is good, value is good, place is nice, but staff is way too focussed on money. Only time when they would ask something it would be about the pay. We stayed for 6 nights, and on the 7th day she wouldn't even let me make one short phone call to book ahead for the next hotel, and I had...

We ended up at Baan Lotus as we had requested a 4th night at Baan Bussara (highly recommended!) but they were fully booked. We were taken to Baan Lotus as apparently the owners are friends. The reception lady was rather lovely, however I can understand why some may think she is rude as her English isn't very good. The accommodation...

“Just ask for a basic fan room which is all we needed. Maybe ask to see the room before booking if you're a walk-in. It helps to show up early as she opens at 7am and in usual Thai style, might just give the room to the first paying customer. I don't think she would do this though, but you just never know in this country.”
