We booked 4 nights and after check in we were given a spacious villa with a very comfortable bed. The hotel has an infinity pool with very welcome shaded areas which also helps to keep it cool. They also have a small private beach with plenty of comfortable beds in the shade.
Breakfast is plenty and good choices. Plenty of free potable water, bananas and cookies in the lobby. We rented a scooter with the resort. The team was very friendly and the manager was very flexible when we had some unusual request. Thank you and I can certainly recommend staying here, especially if you are seeking a quiet location to unwind and relax.

Had the plesure of staying 11 nights at Narima. The Beach is a little piece of paradise with a cosy Beach bar/restaurant (great cocktails😎), quiet atmosphere and funny animals to explore for the kids. Very Nice pools and really clean and well maintained resort. Bungalows is quite new and sound proof. Breakfast was good. BUT the best was their extremely service minded and sweet staff. Helped us with rental of scooters, booking of tours etc. Always careful not to send us on long tours if wind/waves was too wild and had a solution to all of our inquiries.

Will come back if ever on Lanta again!

We only stopped at the restaurant for a lunch and I would surely recommend this place. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. A very friendly staff, delicious meals, a good service and a very pleasant environment...

We visited with 3 small kids and every parent knows it is a challenge to feed a toddler in a restaurant that serves foreign cuisine... well, in this place they did all they could to help us. They have baby chairs, colorful plastic cups and plates, free cookies, free drinking water refills, simply all of it.

We truly enjoyed our visit. And so did our kids. After several weeks in Thailand I can say the meals were probably the best we have had!

Cottages are comfy with excellent balconies which provide really comfortable chairs and hammock in the much needed shade with stunning view of the sea. Private beach is great and easily accessible from the tiered pool which is also lovely and well kept. All staff are helpful, friendly and eager to please. Food was good, provided complimentary biscuits/bananas/ drinking water & insect repellent in reception. Would give 5 stars but tables & chairs in bar and restaurant wooden so not super comfy to sit for too long. Does attract families and can understand why. We had a really good 4 night stay- thank you to all

I kind of don't want to recommend this place too much, cause I want to keep it all to myself. A hidden piece of pure paradise. We are here in the off season so not all the facilities are up and running fully, i.e. beach bar. But everything we need has been catered for and more. Jum is our hostess and she has steered us onto fantastic tours so we made the most of every day.

Stayed here for a week about a month after the tsunami, which did virtually no damage at all to the resort. Lanta has quite a few resorts which look good, the Sri Lanta and Pimlai for example, but I don't think anything has the same atmosphere as the Narima. We had a seafront bungalow which could not have been better situated, all the accommodation faces west so watching the sunset from the balcony is a must. All the bungalows are built to a very high standard and are surprisingly large. The restaurant is excellent, serving a greater variety of Thai food than most places plus the usual european dishes. The Narima is the perfect base for a variety of activities, elephant trekking, diving etc. We took a boat trip to Koh Rok and snorkelled over a spectacular coral reef (also virtually untouched by the tsunami), which has to be seen to be believed. We could not have been made to feel more welcome by the staff and owners, who really went out of their way to take care of us. I know I sound like I work there or something, but it really was that good.

We stayed at the Narima, the bungalows are nicely situated amongst the gardens. The gardens are not particularly well maintained. Upon arrival, we were told for some reason that there were no seaview bungalows as booked but we would be given a bungalow belonging to someone who hadn't turned up. There was no need to say this as we wouldn't have known the difference. After registration, (which took a long time due to being educated on various fruits "this is a papaya" "yes I know" "oh, you've seen one before?" "yes-I've been abroad before" "really", whereas after a long hot journey all we wanted was to be shown our room quickly and a shower), we were taken to the bungalow and we were subjected to information such as "this is the light switch-this is the door, the water supply comes from the mountains and is more pure than all the water in the US" etc etc and this went on until we had lost the will to live, I guess they imagine most guests haven't travelled very much.

The bungalow was basic but adequate, you could see that some renovation work is needed already as they are not constructed with expensive materials that would last more than a couple of years. Apart from thick layers of dust on the airconditioning and walls, the bungalow was acceptably clean. The towel (1 towel each) is changed every day and the bed linen every 2 days. The hammocks have never been cleaned.

The beach is actually quite nice, the tide goes quite a way out and exposes rocks, between the rocks it is sandy and easy to swim in. If you snorkel, there are no fish to see unfortunately.

It is very quiet as there is no TV, no discernable bar, so after dinner it was a struggle to get through the evenings. One or two days maximum doing absolutely nothing and one or two evenings reading books is fine but after that you are climbing the paper-thin walls. You can go on an elephant treks, take excursions to various places on Koh Lanta on a moped, go scuba diving (we went to Phi Phi, bit far, takes all day for 2 dives), there's a cave excursion. There's nothing much to do apart from that.

The food in the restaurant is very good indeed, the serving staff don't seem that happy but neither would I if I was on duty from 7am to 11pm every day. Sometimes you wouldn't know if they understood your order, or if they did whether you would get it. There is another restaurant next door (River Restaurant) which also serves good food but at much cheaper prices.

The owners do go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and it is evident from the reviews that most like this attention. But, as we are the odd ones out, we didn't enjoy it. Around every corner one of them would be there all the time, either on the beach or at every meal in the restaurant or in the office or wandering around the bungalows. Then they would try to engage you in conversation and it would not be a simple "how's everything", it would be a full blown 20 minutes on some subject. One poor devil was dining alone, then along came one of the owners who promptly installed himself at the guest's table with drink in hand. Maybe this was by invitation, maybe not. If we went for a walk in the evening along the beach and rocks, one of them would be there, looking for victims. If you wanted a beach towel, the other one would be standing in front of them, so you'd be forced to engage in conversation otherwise you could not get your towel. It was really funny and perhaps this is why there is no TV, the owners provide the entertainment.

Overall we did enjoy our stay here, the experience of Koh Lanta was wonderful, the food, weather, beach and people were all fantastic. We felt that the Narima was expensive for what it was - obviously not for westerners but in comparison to the cost of living in Thailand. The private transfer from Krabi was expensive and cost more than 1 room night- transfer took 2.5 hours of which a large part of it was waiting for 2 ferries (each took minutes and I am sure the driver paid peanuts for it).

We came back from two weeks in Thailand and have to tell everyone about this great place on Ko Lanta, near Krabi in Thailand. It is a great little place on one of the quietest beaches in Thailand, if that is still possible. It is on an island that you have to take a ferry, Ko lanta. It is call Narima and it a a place of basic bungalows. They have indoor plumbing and hot water but the place is really special. The host own the place and are both doctors. They have a great little beach and pool. The restaurant is great as well. The night we stayed, we had one of the best cottages, dinner and breakfast for under 80 USD. We ended up here after going to Phuket and hating it.

It was a RELIEF to us when we found this wonderul, caring, and immaculately clean bungalow in Koh Lanta! My fiance and I spent two nights at the Narima and enjoyed every second.

We decided to stay in a bungalow in the front, overlooking the sea and it was an amazing view. The bungalows are roomy, tastefully decorated, and most important, thoughtfully spread out so that you have a sense of privacy. Each bungalow is the same size and each have a spacious, clean private bathroom, with hot shower. There is a private deck with a hammock and stylish outdoor wooden furniture to enjoy the quiet night. It was the best place we stayed in throughout our six week trip.

The best part of this hotel was the owners, a dynamic duo who really cares about their customers. I couldn't believe the outstanding customer service! My fiance was injured by a motorbike accident in the earlier part of our trip, and the owners were very caring, and offered to take us to the Koh Lanta hospital on a daily basis free of charge. They also made airline arrangements and transfer arrangements free of any charge. They made us feel authentically at home and welcomed.

The restaurant had wonderful meals cooked with Thai authenticity. I savoured every single bite.

I would definitely stay here again! It is a good deal...when we stayed there, the sea view rooms were 2900 Baht, a bargain for your own sea view bungalow. I'm not sure how much the other rooms were, but they were significantly cheaper and you could see a partial view sea, also.

This was by far the worst place I have stayed in Thailand, and considering myself and my boyfriend have both been on more than 5 separate occasions! We have done low and high budget but this place really sticks in your mind!

The website looked amazing and we were really looking forward to getting there for some real R&R!. When we got there, we could not believe our eyes! We thought we had been bought to the wrong resort and kept checking the name on the admin forms we had to fill out on arrival.

The reception / bar/ kitchen / diving centre was grubby and dark and the pool seemed to have shrunk considerably from the photo on the website, it was full of debris and could have comfortably fit about 5 people in before it would have been really awkward! There were something like 4 deckchairs so goodness knows what you were meant to do if you did not get one in the morning, as the beach was covered in big rocks so there was nowhere to lie. The beach was rubbish and you couldn't wade into the water unless you had steel boots on, to avoid serious lacerations!

The room was a complete joke, it was like it was made out of paper, with a broken air con unit hanging on the wall and so little room that we had to unpack our luggage on after the other.

The doors were not safe and did not lock well, and the bathroom was outside, which we normally love, but it was so small and dirty and the bed smelt of damp!

To top the whole thing off, on our first meal in the "restaurant" my boyfriend got HORRENDOUS food poisoning and, well you can imagine the rest. IT WAS TERRIBLE

After a lot of tears, I went down at 4 in the morning to reception (via the dangerous steps in the pitch black) to tell them that no matter how sick my boyfriend was we were leaving first thing in the morning! We had paid a massive deposit for the 5 days we were meant to stay and got nothing back! Although i would have paid double to get out of there by the next morning!

When I got home I was telling a friend about the whole disaster and she just started laughing, turns out her husband booked it for their holiday and they left after one night as they had a v similar experience!

This place was horrid but i will say one thing for them, they must have the BEST web designer in the world to make it look that good!
