I am not sure where to even begin with our experience of this terrible place! So I am going to just start from the beginning. Me and six of my girl friends reserved the Mango House. Upon arrival we stood and waited outside for almost an hour until someone arrived to unlock the Villas. There was no clear direction on...

Same people as two reviews before.... This group of so called "professional well-traveled" women were the rudest, most self-important group of Americans to ever stay at Mango House. It is explained very clearly when the booking is made that final payment is due when the guests check in. They basically ignored my request for payment or several days until I...

Stayed here for 4 nights. Nice views but you don't get any sun on the balcony after 9am. No maid service at all - toilet paper bucket got pretty full to overflowing, no change of towels, bed sheets, etc. it got pretty smelly. Bed was a bag a springs, very cheap and nasty. It gets quite noisy at night with...

I expect a little bit of wildlife on a trip to the tropics, but we had several bats in the main living area of our house. This place is absolutely unsuitable for children under 10. There are large spaces between many of the wood slats used to make the floor. One board was designed to be lifted out of place...

This guest obviously didn't read our very extensive website which clearly explains that Mango House units are all 20 minutes from the beach (and tourist side) of the island and directly over the sea. Consequently, she expected us to compensate her for not reading the resort details and a full refund when she changed her mind about staying at Mango...

Two of my most memorable vacations were spent at Mango Guesthouse The owner made the experience one of ease and comfort. The Villas are charming with all the special touches that make one feel welcome. A great place to unwind and have delicious food and drinks, and the views from the private patios are amazing, have recommended to many family...

This is a beautiful and unique spot. The houses are simple stilt houses on the sea, with a beautiful verandah on which to relax, read, have drinks & watch the horizon from your hammock. There is a small cooking area and fridge in the room. The owner is incredibly helpful and even went out of his way to return an...

A visit to Koh Lanta should include a visit to Mango. Great bunch of people, both staff and customers made for a great evening. A longing for western food was sorted with a chicken burger and pizza. I love Thai food but sometimes you need a change and this is the place to come

Wow! I've chosen Mangohouse as my first review on TripAdvisor and I cannot say enough good things about this place... The Rooms: I've stayed in three of them over two trips to Koh Lanta. All were spotless and well-ventilated. The windows open right up and the ocean breeze circulates perfectly. Being partly on stilts and over the ocean, the tide...

This little hotel is a rare find.. authentic, gorgeous, peaceful, with some of the best views on Lanta out our back porch. But the walls are paper thin, so it's not pleasant if you have noisy neighbors. (..Part of staying in authentic old Thai houses!). Mango house restaurant, detached from the villas on the roadside, has great western food.. they...

We were 2 couples and rented Mango House (on stilts & over the water) 2 bedroom villa for 1 week in February. This meant living in a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom, private kitchen, large living & dining room and above all - an east facing (sunrise) large terrace with cushions & hammocks for major chill time. As the tide comes...

Welcome to Mango Houses – a collection of authentic, Chinese-style wooden pole houses that have been converted into stylish, over-the-sea villas and suites. Each of these vacation home rentals is located directly on the ocean in an old Chinese fishing village named Lanta Old Town on Ko Lanta Island in Krabi, Thailand.Lanta Old Town is located on the nature-rich, southeast coast of Koh Lanta, only 15 minutes away from the beaches and tourist areas on the west coast — yet far enough to allow the village to retain its traditional culture and charm.
