A place to disconnect. Almost no internet, not much electricity and not much that you have to do. Getting there is an interesting journey itself! The huts are simple, all with the same wonderful view of the beach on a lawn littered with hermit crabs. We went scuba diving and snorkeling. There was a great restaurant along the beach and... We arrived after long journey through rough terrain that hadn't even been cleared for a makeshift path and were informed the restaurant wasn't open since it was off season but we could try the resort next door (who was open after 8 pm for dinner and open in the morning for breakfast). Our room was nice enough and screens over... More

What an experience The sea captain and the cook with their children were so friendly The owner is a bit money-obsessed but everything else was amazing The trips, food, accommodation was very cheap, and if you can put up with the basic facilities, then the ocean view makes it all worth while We stayed at the budget resort, although for... I just read the review that accused the staff of being thieves. I dont belive they would be capable of that as we camped there without locking our tent and nothing happened. When we did that we even gave our big backpacks to the people (they had money in them now that i think of it) for locking it away... More

Have you ever thought about your dream tropical holiday? Well, for us going there it was like living the dream! If you are not that fussy you can choose to stay in the cheaper bungalow. The only things missing compared to the other ones is hot water and aircon. Which are really not necessary in a tropical holiday, the fan... More

When we visited, this island was very much off the beaten path and very quiet. From the mainland Had Yao pier we shared a long tail boat ride with a German couple to Libong Island, a trip which took about 45 minutes. There are two resorts right next to one another on the west side of the island, the Libong... More

Koh Libong seems to be untouched. We didn't see many tourists on the island. My wife and I were the only one at the resort (plus a couple in the resort next door). We got a seaview room at 900 Baht a night. The room was a few steps away from the private beach. Pro: Friendly staff, funky & rustic... More

I had heard very little about this island, Ko Libong...one of the very reasons why I wanted to go there! I love getting off the beaten path, and this place was it! We stayed at LeDugong in March 2011. The stay was pleasant and the resort was good. It is a quiet island and resort. The food is great and the rooms were fine.

“Getting to Ko Libong is a journey to be sure! Huts towards end of the resort may be quieter, but they're all quiet!”

“Find another resort. Libong Camp had the same huts closer to the beach which was clean and also a great view. Resort next door to le Dugong was twice the price and same filthy beach.”

“We showed up without booking and asked to pitch our Tent. We payed 150 Baht for the Tent and could use the shared bathroom facilities. Nice experience to sleep with the sound of crabs and geckos roaming about. (Nothing for people who cannot stand heat and want to sleep in late ;)”

“There are only 2 types of rooms: with private bathroom (900 Baht/night) and without private bathroom (450 Baht/night). For what we received from the price we paid (900 Baht/night), we think it's worth it.”
