The private villa with private pool sounds like a good idea when you're booking it but actually upon reflection, we would have been happier in one of the huts next to the pool. We didn't use our private pool (it was dirty, had leaves in it and to be honest the main pool area was really nice so we preferred being out there). The villa rooms are huge and it was nice to have that much space. The bathroom is outside so no half awake walks to the toilet, you have to keep an eye out for bugs/lizards and remember to lock the bathroom as well as your front door each time. The hotel food was lovely, breakfast was really tasty with lots of choice and an omelette station

I really don't understand the good reviews this hotel is having... the rooms in this hotel are very old and need to refurbished as soon as possible so i cant understand why the charge you so much (6000 THB for the suite that was basically a larger room). the only asset of this hotel is the beautiful haad salad beach which all the hotels on the beach can enjoy from, so do yourself a favour and choose a different one!! you can pay 30-40% less on a better hotel on the beach with better facilities and better rooms. the room was so old that it fall apart (literally) while we stayed there. the bad was so hard that it was not comfortable at all and the extra bed for my kid was poor and they charged 900THB for it... .also the breakfast was less than average if you compere it to other hotels in thailand the restaurant itself was deserted during the day first because it was pricey (20-30% more than the other restaurants on the beach) and i suppose it wasn't that good - . after eating their breakfast you can tell the pool was nice but with way to much chlorine and on 2 of our 3 days there they left a big hole open near the pool (maintenance or something) that was really . dangerous, especially for kids the beach itself was great and also we had good time at the other resturants near by. overall very bad value for money - we paid almost the same for a 5 star resort in koh samui - and got so much less. we will be back to haad salad but we will choose different resort

Correct hotel - however I would not recommend the Pool Villa which needs to be refreshed. The other rooms seemed more recent. The pool is very nice, but to much product in it (sore eyes and yellow bathing suites), not possible to borrow / rent snorkeling material. Breakfast is OK. View & garden are very nice, the beach is like paradise.

If u are looking for relax out of the chaos ( far from full moon party people ) that’s the right place . Little wooden cottage in the middle of green , palm trees, loutish 🌺 and lot more . Very nice pool , beautiful sunset. On the beach u can find so many small restaurants very cheap and massage ladies . I had a massage during sunset on the beach was so good 😊 . Breakfast is not the best but acceptable. Staff are super nice , the receptionist guy will be ready to help with any reservation for boat transfer and more . Enjoy and relax in Green papaya at KOh Phangan. Wi-Fi not that great .

Green Papaya Resort had everything we needed. A quiet location on the beach with a crystal clear pool. The cabin we stayed in had a quiet air conditioner and worked well. The bed was comfortable as we like thai firm beds n the room was cleaned daily by friendly staff . It has everything you need in it a fridge TV. DVD 2 complimentary waters daily ,hairdryer , bottle opener, drinking glasses, toiletries, fresh towels and beach towels . What stood out the most apart from the beautiful gardens, beach, pool n yummy food was the staff !!!! All staff were friendly helpful and made us feel at home. Prices for food were the same as the other resorts on the beach ....... pretty cheap and all food we ate at the resort.... breakfast daily and dinner some nights were all delicious . The gardens at the the Green Papaya Resort are beautiful and tended to every day . Would we stay again ? yes yes yes !!!!! Cant wait to go back :)
