Entered the room to a horrid smell we could not identify at first. The hand towel was soiled. The floor was dirty. Items left on the upper shelf. The pillow case had blood stains on it. The smell from the room we discovered is an island issue with the water smelling like sewage. That one issue wasn’t resort specific but island wide. The AC unit wouldn’t change from high fan at frigid temperature even when the setting was on low fan at 25, which was the ‘warmest’ it went to. We had to wear housecoats and be tucked under the blankets to stay warm in the room. The patio door lock was damaged and it took a lot of muscle to get it to latch properly which it wasn’t when we entered the room. The good things about this resort was the close location to the beach being right there and the nice pools.

Very disappointing review for this hotel. The counter staff were not the slightest bit interested. Paying £170+ per night, we expected some level of comfort in Thailand. Arrived to a soiled bed (housekeeper changed sheets eventually). AC machine so loud and not cold enough, we couldn't sleep. Safety Box not working. Very poor breakfast (we didn't go back). Toilet door broken. Bathroom very rusty. Shower head awful. I have tried to reach out to hotel but they have ignored by emails. If I had paid £40-£50 per night for this tiny room, it would have been acceptable. On a good note, location is great and right by the beach.

Out of all 9 hotels I have stayed in during my Thailand trip, this by far was the worst yet the most expensive hotel we booked so much so we considered leaving the island early as there were no other hotels available. Had to move rooms 3x due to mould and damp - smell was unbearable despite the attempt to disguise this with numerous air fresheners throughout the room. Second room appeared to be attached to a complete different hotel. Final room better but still the smell was awful. Bed like a rock, tiny balcony not fit for purpose, rust everywhere. Strange window in room so you could see on to corridor, could hear lots of noise during the night. Shower water smelt of eggs. Pool area not great - broken sun loungers everywhere. Pool turned our swim wear orange - hotel did agree to wash for us however remained damaged and had to be binned. We did not use the pool again after this. Despite advertising that they offer luggage collection to and from the pier, on day of check out not helpful at all and advised we would have to take own luggage - luckily on exiting property we were seen by the man who offers this service who was very kind and offered to take these for us. Awful, would avoid at all costs.

We stayed at this hotel for 200euro per night. From.outside looks everything good but as soon as we entered the room, we felt the syrong smell of naphthalene. This is a substance that is forbidden in this hotel they use it for cleaning the room. It was impossible to stay so we asked for another room but it was the same. The room didn't have darkening curtins, so at 6 in the morning, the room was so light that it was not possible to sleep. We found the black mold in the bathrooms of both room we had. One in aircondition and one in the walls in the barhroom.

We stayed forb8 nights, and I was hesitant too book after reading negative reviews, but the location and pool swayed me to book. The good, the bad and the ugly. We stayed in the cheaper room (small balcony, mountain view) and these are located closest to the pool. The rooms are clean, and modern but they are not sound proof. We could hear people coming home all hours of the night and talking in the next room. The toilet seat was also broken. Nonetheless the rooms are spotless and the cleaners always had our rooms made up whilst we were at breakfast. The pool is amazing, if not a bit odd with all the separate segments. Don't think of coming here and swimming laps. Towels can be collected from the reception, only one day did I see there was none available. Plenty of deck chairs around the pool too. Breakfast is adequate - everyday it's toast, plain or fried rice, fried eggs or omlette, cereal, yoghurt and fruit, and pasta. What changes each day sometimes curry other stir-fried veg pasta sauce, some days there were pasties (one day there seemed to be left over sandwiches), the type of fruit and if your lucky some salty soup. Overall breakfast is okay. Staff, can't fault them. The hotel has a luggage collection from the pier and also drop off. They also sell speedboat tickets cheap and do organised tours. This is a muslim run hotel, and as such do not sell alcohol on-site or at there mini mart, but plenty of bats around. It also seems to be several hotels in one complex, and there is a lot of Russian tour groups that come and go the hotel restaurant is only reserved for these tour groups. The beach out the front has a small roped off area protecting from the boats. If you want to go snorkelling walk the 1km trail to Long Beach. Overall it was a pleasant 8 night stay, away from the hussle of the party town, but some great beach bars nearby for some subdued night time drinks.

The hotel is in a beautiful location on the beach and only a short walk from the shops, bars and restaurants. The bedroom was large and modern but starting to look tired in particular the bathroom which had a broken towel rail and rusted shower cable. The balcony was only small but did have a handy clothes maid in it (which we have missed at previous hotels during this visit) The pool had plenty of separate areas for people to relax or kids to play. Can only rate hotel as average but I would certainly stay here again if visiting Phi Phi

Where do I begin? I always try to be constructive with my reviews and not in any way picky. PhiPhi Don is a beautiful place and the hotel is on the beach. That’s the only positive I can review from the URip. Staff with the exception of 1 lady couldn’t care less. Grounds and pool area scruffy and not maintained. Sun beds spare and no mats on hard beds. Pool towels appeared to be towels left by previous guests. Breakfast was truly awful just don’t bother. Now the rooms. The design was bizzare a balcony so narrow you’d struggle to sit out on it but also with no light. The best way to describe it was a tunnel. The bathroom was very very tired and not the cleanest. The room was basic but the bed was so hard it actually gave me chronic back pain. Overall don’t bother staying here.

Approached the hotel as we needed a room for the night as we had a very bad experience booking another hotel on the island via booking.com (hotel was not as advertised). The staff offered to show us a room before checking in which was lovely, so we initially booked one night but ended up booking another (around £55 a night). The hotel uses the Andoman Hotel’s pool and restaurant which were lovely. Room was very clean and modern. Pool area was also clean and has a gorgeous sea view. The breakfast selection could have been better but it was ok.

You can fairly assess only when something happens. We came for 1 night from Phuket. Check-out should be 11-00. I woke up with a sudden fever about 39". Our boat to Phuket have been scheduled for 2-30 p.m. Local doctor said that it is strictly prohibited for my health to stay under the sun as the weather is extremely hot and dangerous when you have a fever. There are no space around and restaurants with conditioner to wait 3 hours until my boat comes. I kindly asked the hotel to let me wait in my cold room and make me late check-out due to my illness. They even did not try to listen me, not even offering some help, but in a very rude manner told me to get out immediately. I wish these stupid personnel and junior managers to feel the same every day in their stupid life. Probably the owners do not know who is working in their area and how their treat customers.
