We were booked into a standard room by our travel agent - we upgraded as the standard was a tiny room with shower over the toilet. Backpackers style. The superior room, like in above photo was lovely but from street level was 229 steps up a hill. Room was lovely and view was fantastic. Shower had no pressure at all so very difficult to wash hair or clean yourself. Staff were very helpful however and friendly and carried our bags up and down all the steps when we arrived and departed. Cheap to stay at and the upgrade for 2 nights was only approx $25 NZD so well worth it.

Room Tip: Go for top floors or you won't get a view. Rooms are far nicer.

Stayed here for 4 nights in total, on arrival we wasn’t aware there was hotel baggage help by the port - would advise to take advantage of this.
Eventually after finding the hotel, we was greeted with wipes and bottle of water and shown to our room and staff were very welcoming. Also we were given a bottle of water each day.

Room was basic, aircon was very weak, shower did not hang on wall so had to hold shower head in hand when showering. Lots of mosquitos outside / in rooms. Shared balcony so no where to hang clothes to dry. Only had one pillow per bed so requested for another. Struggled locking the door but asked and was given assistance.

We was not aware how far up the hotel (140 steps from room to street) so was awful in 34 degree heat backpacking. So would not recommend for those not into walking.

About 10 min walk from 7/11 and 15 mins to beach and port.

Overall , I would say the walk up was definitely worth it for the views. Very close to viewpoint which is beautiful to watch sunset from. I think compared to other hotels / hostels I would of expected more from the hotel itself , would of been perfect if had a pool but overall nice enough for a couple nights stay.

Overpriced for what it is and the experience is not so great. The toilet was not clean, and the shower area was not very inviting - it all needs modernising. The sea view was blocked by some tin structure, overall faar too expensive for the poor experience it turned out to be.

Arrived to our room to find bed sheets that had not been changed after the previous guests (see photos) the sheets and pillows were stained yellow.

The entire room had a layer of dust a filth.

An awful smell coming from around the A block meant we were unable to sit on our balcony. The hotel staff told us it’s the smell from the kitchen if so I would never recommend anyone to eat here.

The staff were very friendly however. This made it a great shame when we decided check out 4 days early. The young lady at reception was ever so friendly and apologetic.

Checked into a hotel 5 minutes away for less money and it is in another league.

The room was nice, we were a family of five with kids. Spacious room, great view, adequate bathroom. The place itself felt a bit run down and the steps would put a lot of people off staying here. Everything went well, we were no bother to the hotel, didn’t ask for our room cleaned, didn’t complain, were quiet and respectful etc etc. so when we came to check out we were so shocked to find that we were being fined for going over by 20 mins. We know that rules are rules but we also know that there is discretion and common sense. We just cannot understand why a run down hotel like this, that needs all the help it can get is actively letting relatively happy guests go on a bad note!!! A 200baht fine on check out leads to only one thing - a negative review.

This place is awful .. booked 3 nights because Phi Phi was pretty full .. stayed for 1 (no refund from Arboreal). The shower room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks, half drunk can of coke in fridge. The view of both bays was nice but we were lucky - the room below looked onto a toilet block. This would have been ok if described as a hostel but the was the most expensive accommodation I booked in my whole Thailand trip and the worst. Moved up to Bakao resort which was beautiful by comparison. Would not recommend.

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again if you paid me. I stayed here nearly 3 weeks ago and after sleeping in the bed for one night I was bitten all over my body by bed bugs. The bites were so bad I had to see a doctor as they were unmanageable and made me extremely sick as my body worked hard to heal. The bites are gone now and I no longer have to deal with disgusted stares from people in the street (I looked unrecognisable - bright red angry bumps upon bumps that were very painful and itchy), but my face and body are now covered with OVER 100 SCARS ranging between half a centimetre and one centimetre in diameter. My hands and ankles are the worst, and my skin will never look the same again. The scars are really bad.

I showed the damage to a member of the hotel staff and asked for a new room. He looked a little shifty and said he couldn't give me another bed to sleep in. I imagine this was because the whole hotel is infested.

The bed bugs in this hotel ruined my trip and have made permanent marks on my body. I just hope they fade over time as I don't want to dedicate a single other second of my life to remembering this foul, disgusting, loathsome hotel.

Do not stay here if you value your looks or your health.

Horrible hotel. They don't let you have a second key, don't even put a blanket on the extra beds. Horrible attention, they don't clean the rooms. I don't even know why this is called a resort. Worst hotel since I am in Thailand. Shame on them...

I newly arrived to the hotel, I did my booking through Agoda web page.. The hotel itself charged as 4 star hotel, but doesn't provide spa, pool, and at least normal service.. At reception their meeting were completely disappointing.. Food and beverage I would definitely not recommending at the hotel, due to hygiene points, and absence of food safety rules.. Regarding Housekeeping, when I have noticed that HK lady is cleaning the floor in the toilet with face towel which was in my room previously, I was shocked... Everything in the room were broken, from lamp till AC.. The area is not clean At the hotel, as well as in Phi phi itself... I would not recommend this hotel as well as the island to those who are willing to have a peaceful vacation... Because this is the island of night parties and loud music... The hotel itself is -1 star... The area is full of lizards and monkeys...
