Phi Phi Holiday Resort boasts a picturesque beachfront location that many guests adore, though opinions diverge on its value, with some finding the pricing reasonable and others deeming it overpriced for the offered quality. The resort's cleanliness is widely commended, including the well-maintained beach, whereas feelings about the rooms and amenities are mixed, with some citing the need for updates. While the service garners praise for its friendly staff, it is occasionally viewed as lacking in professionalism. The atmosphere has been criticized for feeling dated, reminiscent of a summer camp rather than a luxury resort.

We stayed at Phi Phi Holiday Resort for three nights during our 2-week trip to Phuket, Thailand. This was our last stop and we booked our stayed at the Pool Villa room, hoping it would cap off an awesome vacation. In honesty, the Pool Villa room experience didn't live up to our expectations. The room was located 10 minutes away from the main beach area and could use tidying up (a couple tiles surrounding the pool needed work). There were markings on the wall, which could easily be removed. The view (while in the pool) is obstructed by the hedge and black iron rod fencing. The sliding door didn't have any screen, so it's either open to the mosquitos or closed. Our room had an odor which was traced to the toilet, which had a window but couldn't be opened to let fresh air in or out. It's not quite a romantic setup when its hard to ignore the smell coming from the bathroom.

Food experience - We had dinners at Jasmine's for twice. The Thai dishes were fine but the burgers were subpar. We also ate at Jimmy's and had mix review. The fried chicken sandwich was tasty but the smoked chicken sandwich was forgettable. The cost for the 3 meals during our stay at the Holiday was nearly the same as what we paid for our dinners (1 week) in Phuket.

We also prepaid for breakfast with the room but wouldn't recommend it due to lack of variety. By the 3rd day, I settled for jelly toast and fruits on the 3rd day. That will summarize how much I enjoyed it :(

There's a small gift shop and a couple smaller mini-markets. We stopped there for ice cream and drinks.

The beach is awesome and is the selling point. Enjoy the sun and taper your expectations on the rest and you won't be disappointed. We probably wouldn't recommend staying more than a few nights.

Customer service was great and the transport crew was even better. Everyone staff member we ran across were helpful and pleasant.

- Breakfast until 10 a.m.
- Fruit selection very limited (same every day: watermelon, banana, tangerine, dragon fruit)
- General breakfast selection poor
- Coffee machines in the breakfast room constantly broken or malfunctioning
- No alternatives to normal milk (only got soy milk after asking three times on the last day)
- Nothing is refilled after 9:30 a.m., we were standing in front of empty plates at 9:30 a.m., pastries are no longer reheated either
- Gas water has to be paid for separately
- An unpleasant smell on the terrace (probably coming from the toilets)
- Staff not service-oriented
- Of the staff, Pooky is very friendly and helpful
- Hotel complex very well maintained, great location, great beach
- Not enough loungers (you have to let them know that you want a lounger, then someone comes and brings several loungers in a pile to the bar. You then have to get the lounger from there yourself)
- No cushions on the loungers
- Car transport within the complex works well
- Monkey bar in a nice location but very long waiting times (we had to wait 1 hour for the shrimps serviced)
- Staff sometimes have poor understanding of English
- Sunset Villa with private pool very nice, clean room and clean pool.

We stayed in room 627 for 7 nights in a split-level room. The room was slightly tired but had all the amenities you could ask for, including a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a dressing gown, and slippers. They delivered fresh bottles of water each day and we had a fantastic view of the sea. The staff couldn't do enough to help and were polite and courteous at all times. We discovered Jimmys cafe and ate their practically every night. We did the speed boat tour through the hotel which was amazing and again I can't thank the crew enough who got me a none swimmer in the water snorkeling with their support and a life jacket, it was just the highlight of our stay. We also got a long boat on the beach to visit the local town. Breakfast was included for us and the staff were able to provide gluten free bread which was very much appreciated. Would highly recommended this hotel. The beach is amazing by the way .

I loved this resort and cannot understand how it is getting poor reviews. I had a premier beachfront room which I loved. This was one of the nicest rooms that I ever had and you can step straight out onto the beach. The resort is situated on the beautiful Laem Tong beach which has soft white sand and calm, clear, blue water that is ideal for swimming in. The beach is peaceful and chilled out. The resort itself is well tended to and has numerous lovely pools, bars and eateries and activities including excursions and SCUBA. The resort staff were polite, lovely and helpful. The infinity pool appeared to be adults only, so that is the pool that I used the most. During the day, the resort staff bring around complimentary fruit cocktails and I also had a plateful left in my room on day one. A nice tough there! The resort also has buggies to take you around. A tip for livelier nightlife is to grab a motorcycle side car taxi to Loh Bagao Bay village (these taxis are situated right at the end of the resort and only charge 100 baht to the village). They are safe. You don't have to get on the motorcycle, just sit in the side car for 10 mins while they take you on a lovely chilled ride down there. Do this, don't miss out. They will then bring you back from the village (you can flag them down in the village). Overall I had a lovely experience and am going back this summer. I felt privileged to be able to stay in such a fantastic, picturesque place. Thank you

The contracted transfer to the hotel broke a bag and Manager Duti had a very bad attitude towards our claim. We were given the very separate rooms, which I explicitly asked for when I made the reservation for Booking, and the manager did not give us a solution or even try. The hotel staff in general is of very poor quality to be in a hotel sold as top notch. Most do not understand the English language. Housekeeping women are very undetailed when fixing the rooms. The rooms smell very damp, still turning on the air conditioning. The facilities are very precarious. The pool filter engines all broken inside them, cables all visible in all the stonemasons. Standing water next to the rooms. Very old towels. Scarce sun loungers on the beach. Windows in the rooms that cannot be closed. And so, countless things to tell.

English below.
Stay away from this hotel! The rooms are old and unbearably neglected, full of ants, peeling walls, a curtain in the living room with stains, a broken, torn and disgusting shower curtain and the door to the balcony does not close all the way and insects get in, the water in the toilet does not drain well. The hotel is far from everything, even for laundry you have to walk 45 minutes and for attractions you have to spend a lot of money just to get to them. Paying a lot of money and getting a bad hostel.

I wouldn't know where to start, the photos on the site absolutely don't match reality. It is a poorly organized place and gives the impression of being completely abandoned. the pool is always dirty, in fact I have never seen anyone even get their feet wet, the common areas both internal and external are not very clean and not well kept at all. the bar offers nothing except 4 basic cocktails (not even well made). our room was at the top of the hill so to get there you always have to call the car service, which all in all is efficient... small and dated room with a small swimming pool outside, which however you can't fully enjoy because during the day goes out on an excursion and around 5pm which would be the ideal time to be in the pool, you are literally attacked by mosquitoes, in addition to the fact that you cannot enjoy the sunset view due to various trees that cover the view.
the breakfast was terrible, I found poor hygiene, little choice of fruit, only two types and of low quality in general... the beach is not very clean unfortunately not to mention the bad smell that the various and continuous boats give off which also ruin the view.. ultimately the Phi Phi are beautiful, the resort less so

We stayed for two nights in the bungalow with garden. The interior quite comfortable, good cleanliness but fairly old furniture. Beautiful beach with facilities for excursions to nearby islands to be booked directly on site. Very quiet resort. Hearty and sufficiently good breakfast buffet. We strongly advise against going to dinner at the sunset restaurant that offer a menu at very high prices but with very low quality, better opt for restaurants along the beach with lower prices and very good quality. Otherwise the staff is quite friendly. All in all enough the stay, nothing more

First of all, arranged with the hotel a transfer from Phuket airport to the resort. This was Very well arranged.
Hotel staff is very friendly and very helpful.
Stayed in the coral sea view studio, which was recently renovated. The room was really great. We were missing some drawers and cabinets, where we could place our clothes. Therefore we had to live from our suitcases. This is not terrible, but mentionable. The shower was wonderful. And the bathroom had a beautiful bath. From the balcony there was a stunning view of the sea.

What I do find curious is the lack of sun beds and beach umbrellas! For a location with 100 studios x2 persons minimum, you will be able to find just a max of 10 beach umbrellas and maybe 40 (maybe less) sun beds…
We are on a island with a lot of sun. We all go to the swimmingpool and to the beach. This is not possible. Beachside of this we went to the neighbor hotel (which had plenty beds) to find a free bed.

Because there where not enough beds on the beach we stayed for food and beverages at the neighbors of phi phi holiday most of the time. So we are not able to give a good review on available on the food and beverages and the corresponding services. What we did notice was that prices where a bit high compared to other locations, but that is normal unthinkable for the secluded location and not so many other options available.

I do hope this will change soon, because then this location will receive from me a better review and we would consider to return a second time. It would very much improve the location. Spoke with other guests and they all mentioned the same.

I arrived at this resort with very high expectations, I couldn't wait to spend 5 nights there, but when I arrived it was a total disappointment!

Check in went reasonably well although the level of English was very low so conversations were very difficult.
The worst came when we entered the room: dirty bathroom with the sink and shower undisputed in limescale like I've never seen before (I expect that in a 4 star hotel if this problem is created due to the water, the tap and shower are changed every few years); in addition to the bathroom, the room was dirty in general i.e. floor with hair and not washed, dirty bedside table and so on.
Once I entered the room I immediately called the reception to ask if they could come and clean it, but it took a very long time.
I called every 15 minutes and every time I was told "I'll call you right away" or "the lady will be right away" and spoiler: 2 hours have passed.

After 2 hours the cleaning ladies arrived, but since they couldn't do anything they changed our room.
The first room offered was in the same poor condition, which makes me think that the resort is very dated and unhygienic.

The final room, however, was in better condition as it was more recent:
I appreciated that they gave us a room change with an upgrade.

I was also disappointed with regards to animation and entertainment: I didn't expect those of an Italian village, for goodness sake, but not even the singer who sang super sad music every evening. In short, every evening it was always the same thing.

Last information I would like to share: the resort remains in a very windy area.

We travelled with TUI in Dec 2022 and the transfers were seamless! They pick you up from the airport, take you to the port, then you get the ferry over to Phi Phi where a speedboat will collect you and take you to the hotel. Same on the way back... no problem whatsoever ! Enjoy .. we are also there at the start of December :)
