i would say this is the best located hotel at Phi phi island, some rooms are not remodeled , but clean , everything u needed , Phi Phi island doesnt have luxury hotels, if i come back to Phi Phi , i would stay here again, it has a beautiful pool , Ok breakfast , nice view with a balcony , some rooms can be noisy, ask for a room with a pool view and ocean view, If u go to Phi Phi , i would highly reccomend , to take a speedboat to Maya bay , Bamboo island , and Phi Phi Lei, monkey beach, it was highlight of my trip!!

Let me start by saying the pool area here is amazing!..arguably the best spot on the island, and staff have been very friendly as well. However the rest of the hotel is in desperate need of a makeover, it's nothing more that a 70's era roadside motel. I've slept in hard beds before, but the beds here are so etching else...more like a plank of wood. The bathroom is revolting, there is a large gap between the floor and what's meant to be a shower curtain so the floor in the bathroom gets drenched. The tiles in the main living area were slimy and the room smelled musty and old. It's absurd they charge the price they do, avoid this place like the plague if you're looking for a comfortable stay.

Nestling in a prime spot with breathtaking views over the bay from its north side isthmus, this hotel offers a picturesque escape. The pool area, a serene vantage point, promises stunning panoramas that captivate. However, the charm of its location is slightly overshadowed by signs of wear; from a stubborn sliding door to the less-than-inviting hardness of the beds, reminiscent of plywood, it's clear some areas crave attention. Despite this, the breakfast buffet shines with a generous array of options, leaning favourably towards Asian cuisine, ensuring a satisfying start to the day. Its proximity to the pier makes it an ideal base for diving or tour enthusiasts, while its distance from the nightlife guarantees peaceful evenings. The efficiency of the check-in and check-out process adds a layer of smoothness to the experience, balancing the scales between convenience and the need for refurbishment.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Absolutely amazing location on the beach, with a beautiful large tranquil pool and gardens. Not busy when we were there. That’s the good part! Step inside to a very run down, dirty, old, unmaintained building that you can’t wait to get out of. Breakfast was revolting! The only good thing inside was the two big fluffy cats lounging on the reception desk which are clearly loved by the hotel.

Let's start with the three great possitves. The view by the pool and the price point (for phi phi) is reasonable. HOWEVER, the hotel is shambolically ran. The worst part being that without any notice, boat tours arrive for 'lunch' where 100+ passengers decend on 6 speed boats and used the pool. Their very arrogant tour operator takes photos in front of your sunbed, without any regard to the paying guests, and abused us when we challenged him. The pool area is dirty, litter is rarely cleaned, or glasses taken away. The rooms are very dated with poor air conditioning. The breakfast is barely edible, a hard boil egg is uncooked and bread stale. The noise from the late night bars (which continue until 3am) on the beach can make sleeping difficult, admittedly not a fault of the hotel. The staff (expect one of the managers) do not seem to care and are extremely slow. You could potentially stay a couple of nights, if you can cope with the above, but it's not a good hotel for a relaxing stay.

This is going to really hurt as I LOVE LOVE Phi Phi and the Thai people and I feel I should "have their back" and provide a good review. Unfortunately travellers need to know what they are getting for their $$ so I have to be 100% honest here. Hopefully my honesty will be seen as constructive and inspire the hotel management to improve the Cabana. Overall we have given the hotel a 3/5 but it really should be a 2.5 -Gr8 warm, helpful, friendly staff :) -Great AC :) -Clean linnen changed daily -Working fridge with complimentary bottled water -Hotel and rooms are tired, needs a double dose of Red Bull :( -Hardest beds ever, seriously :( -Bathroom was very dark dark and very basic :( -INSANE late night HEAVY HEAVY BASS from a neigbouring bar. I feel so sorry for the Cabana Hotel management as they cannot control this problem. The heavy bass comes from a crazy bar way down the beach but the sound travels up the beach and feels like its in the building. They say they have tried to talk to the bar owners but nothing has changed. Its goes on till 3am so if you are affected by late night noise this may not be for you. -Awesome central location to everything - Well equiped gynasium if thats your thing -Gr8 family friendly pool with various depths -Gr8 Breakfasts :)) LONGTAIL boat hire :) For the best experience on a long tail boat, contact the driver we hired for 3 days. His name is Deng and he can be found with a big smile on his face hanging around the McDonalds. He has a well equiped boat and he is a very kind and considerate man. He took us over to PP Le twice and we managed to see sharks and other exoctic fish with him. He actually dived in the water with us and showed us some special places to view special fish. He charges 3500B for a 6hr trip (seems to be the standard price)

This property is all about the location. The large pool overlooks the Strait of Malacca with its series of small islands jutting out from the sea. It is located very close to the dock as well as the bustling town with all the tourists. There is not much of a beach directly in front of the hotel because of the rocks but the view toward the sea is exceptional nevertheless. The rooms themselves are not much to look at...it is similar to a cheap motel in the States...but the view more than makes up for it. If you want to stay near the dock...and don't want to take a boat to other resorts on the island not accessible by road, this may be one of the best options. It is far enough away from the craziness but close enough for a quick walk through town.

The pictures of the hotel are very very misleading. just big size swimming pool is there rest nothing good. Rooms were so old fashioned, very very small size bathroom. The only advantage is its right opposite to the pier. No private beach as shown in pictures.Poor breakfast spread. being vegetarian we just had an option of 2 varieties of fruits and bread jam, after paying so much.We booked it for 2 nights for 9k per night plus extra charge for my kids breakfast (9yr old).Ok to stay if you get it under 3K. Won’t recommend this hotel to anyone with the budget of 6k and above.

We were greeted warmly at the reception & got a beautiful pool facing Room with the backdrop of the Sea. The pier is barely 5mins walk and the Hotel had sent a cart with the man holding our placard. The Room was spacious for 3 Pax & was totally comfortable. The location of this Hotel is prime and the food joints & market streets are all walking distance. The breakfast spread is good enough to start your day with… Relax in the pool or just across the pier to take a private tour in the Long Tail Boats. This a must do if you are staying in this Island. You will be surprised to watch the fire shows, music & dance at the beach Parties. This Island has some lovely restaurants with delicious local cuisine and a wide spread platter for Sea Food lovers. Chill with the “Chang Beer” and interesting Cocktails. We stayed for 3 nights and had a memorable time….Our room commanded a picturesque view!! We will definitely be back here. Only improvement required to be done by the Hotel Management is to renovate the bathrooms & fittings as these are dated.

I’ve stayed at Phi Phi Cabana about six times in the last 14 years and this was the weirdest stay by far. In the Covid downtime, they have done quite a bit of work on the pool, which now has been fully cleaned, and has some new tiling, i.e. neatened up from our last stay in 2017. However, there are still building materials all along the sea front, which makes things look decidedly scruffy. Lots of the hotel is currently shut down - presumably being renovated. The pool bar used to have excellent service and do absolutely amazing Thai food. The menu has now become extremely limited with only very basic options, and the food isn’t that nice any more, forcing you to leave the hotel for lunch. The pool bar service is terrible at the moment and my wife almost got heat stroke because there were absolutely no staff to even purchase water from quite a bit of the time. Occasionally staff came around seeing if people wanted drinks – very infrequent. However, the service and food are unacceptable. Breakfast was also not worth having - I remember it had previously been fairly reasonable. While this hotel still has an excellent position, being next to the port, and far away from the disco’s along the beach, with probably the biggest pool, and best view in Phi Phi. I think that next time I travel to Phi Phi (and it will soon), I will be trying another alternative. There are at least 4 new hotels with more modern rooms and facilities in the last 5 years. Certainly this hotel cannot justify the price it is currently charging.
