The room was basic, but this is what we were expecting and it exceeded our expectations for cleanliness. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hut was close to the beach so noisy at night, but the staff offered to move us if it became too loud. We were diving with Bigblue, so location was perfect for us.

Stayed here for just under a week whilst travelling Thailand. Stayed in two different rooms in the apartments near the pool, first room was nice but slightly more expensive at 500 baht pp per night (3 people). Water and toilet roll was provided daily and the rooms were always clean. Had a fan room which was a bit stuffy. Wifi was good.

Very close to the beach and good restaurants, would recommend fizz lounge, cafe de lotus and kusto in particular. Wasn't too noisy at night.

The best thing about the place was the owner, absolute legend and always happy to help with everything. He even took my friend on his scooter to get her rabies jab! Such a cool guy :)

I stayed in one of the air conditioned rooms which for 1500 a night were pretty pricey. The hotel is clean and in a good location (although can be noisy from the bars etc) with spacious rooms and comfy beds. On a negative the blinds do not meet the sides of the windows so you get no privacy. What ruined what would have been an ok stay was the unfriendly staff. I didn't see one of them smile in the three days I was there. To be honest I found Ko Tao as a whole this way. So unfriendly. I was made to prepay for my room each day and was even followed into the village by the owner and asked to come back and pay for that night. I don't understand why, they had my credit card details and I fully intended paying on check out.

An ok hotel but unpleasant grumpy staff

Completed a diving course at the excellent Davey Jones Locker diving school. Stayed in a hut 10 seconds from the beach. Restaurants, street food, bars, cafes, supermarkets, laundry all within 2 min walk.

Friendly and super respectful staff that are happy to help out with whatever you want at the hotel and to explore in the island. Though you can get cheaper huts around the island, for the ideal location in Sarri beach and help I got from the people that worked there, it suited my needs perfectly and was worth the extra. Thank you to Apple and all the Silver Sands crew.

The diving school they are connected to Davey Jones Locker are absolutely brilliant. I completed my Open Water Diving with them and the instructors Noah, Steve and Jill all made me feel at home on this beautiful island.

Let me start by saying--don't believe all the reviews you read about this place. I actually am shocked at some of the things people say....I really don't know what they are talking about! It is absolutely amazing and the manager goes above any beyond to help you. We stayed here a week and this is our second time to Koh Tao. The hotel has several different types of accommodation to choose from. Beach bungalows, hotel rooms, rooms with rans, rooms with AC, rooms that are quiet, and rooms that look over the beach. It is located in the centre of Sairee beach so except some noise no matter what but know this accommodation is budget friendly as well as located by EVERYTHING. We stayed in the back building close to the resort and did not hear any noise! But staying on the beach you will hear the bars until 2-3am. The manger made us feel very welcome and he was there to make sure our stay was amazing. You can view your room before you move in as well as change if you dont like it after a night! We really got to know the manager over the week. We booked tours through him, transport, and laundry services. All at better rates! He even picked my partner up on his personal time from the opposite side of the island as we couldn't get a ride back to the hotel! Honestly, worth every cent and more! The wifi is good as there are several to pick from. We could watch Netflix on it no problem. The pool is also located at the dive resort, which is nice and quiet! We recommend eating at New Heaven Cafe, their coffee and oatmeal are amazing. The prices are the best as well! If you are here to enjoy the beach, nice food, atmosphere and this is what you get with this hotel! We will be back to Koh Tao and we will for sure stay here again! (Written by a 30 year old couple)

Terrible!! Nothing like the pictures! Run down and not even a 1 star. Property has NO pool, NO TV, NO restaurant or coffee cafe. Our room had no bed tables, no closet or rack for clothes, no dresser, no chair, no mirror, no kettle, no pictures or decor of any kind, no shower curtain. The Refrigerator was old and rusty. The room and bathroom looked like the inside of a cement prison cell. Mattress was Old and hard as a rock and pillows also Old hard and flat.

Our worst Hotel in five years in Thaïland !! Look great on the fpapaer but it was a lie.
The swimming pool is the property of the diving school and they use it all day so you just can't enjoy it. They never said that before.
Nothing special to say about the room, little bit expensive for the quality.
BUT, THE WORST THING IS THE PEOPLE !!!
The girl who work here is just incredibly disrespectful to the costumers. I never met someone like this in Thaïland. We come every years in Thaïland and its the first time that we change of hotel without any night spent here.
Its up to you, but with all of the hotels in Koh Tao, for sure you can find really better !

Enjoy !!

I went here for manicure, pedicure and eye lash extensions. The place was somewhat shabby, but staff friendly. My eyelashes were done very quickly, and as I now see: multiple extensions are applied to one natural lash. The quality is thick and heavy, and already after 5 hours I’ve lost more than 20 lash “bundles”. Manicure you can see in the picture... and this is a couple of hours afterwards. Not worth the money, even if it would be cheaper than in your country... lashes 1500bht, manicure 200, pedicure 200.

We booked into the garden huts and yes, it may be a student area but honestly you can find so much better at a lower price. The manager was wonderful and really tried to help by even upgrading us but we couldn't leave fast enough! The beach huts are wood and absolutely tiny, don't mind that but the mini fridge was a health hazard, the bathroom should be declared a bio-hazard and I was seriously concerned about sleeping in the beds. The location was literally a few steps from the beach but the whole area is party capital so if you want any sleep at all, forget it. The manager was really kind and offered to upgrade us to the 'boutique' room in the larger complex which we jumped at. The room was cute but again, anyone walking past can see straight in, the other window was looking onto the adjacent building site so no light there and the bathroom was not clean at all, so much so that both of us refused to use the shower and checked out the very next day as soon as we could. We weren't picked up from the ferry as promised and while the manager agreed to shuttle us for free back to the ferry, we never got the amount back (taxi's in Koh Tao aren't cheap compared to Samui and Bangkok). The dive school affiliated couldn't find us on their records even though we'd paid the deposit so will try and reclaim that too! I rarely give bad reviews but feel that this place definitely isn't worth the money they charge.

This was the 3rd place I stayed on Koh Tao and by far the best. Me and 2 other friends wanted a beach bungalow with the basics. Considering this was the cheapest we found, it was also the best. The bungalows are in a great location, surrounded by trees with the sand on your doorstep and the ocean a few steps away.

The bungalows are clean and comfortable inside and it really feels like an authentic beach hut. Even one night when I felt ill, I was very comfortable staying in the room and admittedly watching a bit of CSI. We loved - and spent a lot of time - on the small verandah which had a couple of chairs, a small table, and a hammock. If you want Wi Fi it's simply a question of walking up a few steps into the reception area.

Shops and restaurants are all close and this is a great place to stay on Sairee Beach. Highly Recommended.
