We have been living at Koh Tao Star Villa for approximately 3 months now and it has been absolutely fantastic! Heidi and Alan have been the most perfect landlords we could have asked for. They are very nice and attentive to anything that we may need from them. It's safe to say that they are more than willing to go out of their way to ensure that we have the most comfortable stay possible. They also have some great recommendations around the island whether it be a good place to have a drink at, or a reliable electronics store to fix a broken phone/laptop. As far as the actual property goes, we could not have asked for a better place. The view is absolutely stunning. We love waking up to such a picturesque view in the morning. The amenities in the apartment itself are great and we are more than happy to be able to call this place home. Nothing beats a really hot shower and an extensively furnished apartment on Tropical Island! Heidi and Alan also clean once a week which is included in our lease and something that we are very appreciative of. We highly recommend Koh Tao Star Villa for anyone wanting to have their own place here on Koh Tao. We definitely do not see ourselves moving elsewhere anytime soon.…

The villa we stayed in was spacious, with a living room / kitchen and a good sized bedroom with en suite bathroom. Beach towels are provided which is useful. The fridge is stocked with beer and soft drinks which aren't largely marked up in price like in hotels. Alan and Heidi, the British couple that run the place picked us up from the pier and were friendly. They turn the lights on outside the room if it gets dark when you are out, and the room was made up every day when we were out. There is nice furniture and a big TV with an amazing selection of movies and TV shows available. Alan is friends with a great motorbike rental shop, and will keep your passport so you don't have to surrender it at the shop. You will need a bike to get to and from the villa if you don't want a longish walk up a long very steep hill track. You also need to be a confident rider.…

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Star Villa. Alan and Heidi were the perfect hosts, always there to ensure we had everything we needed. The Villa is nestled up the top of a hill with a super view west for sunsets. We would definitely stay again!

Me and wife have travelled to many places and stayed in various villas and apartments in different countries of the world. But the way these guys offer warmth and affection is beyond your expectations and imagination. The House is just beautiful you can spend hours watching the view just from the balcony while sipping a chilled beer in your apartment fridge. I highly recommend staying at KohStarVilla, you will not get such hospitality even in the best 5 stars hotels nearby. I have already recommended this place to my cousins and friends and I guess they will make the booking soon. Thank you for the most memorable 4 days of my life.

Three friends, stayed at the penthouse. What can we say... I don't usually write reviews but when someone deserves it, I'll happily give them the credit they deserve. And this place no doubt deserves it. The penthouse itself was lovely. Big, spacious, clean, feels like home within a few minutes. And talk about a view!!! I was sitting on the balcony watching the sunset every single evening with a cold beer from the fridge in hand... hard life! We loved coming back to our home on the hilltop every day. More than the accommodation, the hosting was top-notch. Alan quickly became part of our friend group and we loved having him around. He gave us great tips for spots on the island and helped us arrange everything from a (fantastic!) diving experience to taxis back home after a night out. We needed something, had a question, or any general help- contact Alan (and he was always very available and quick). Simple as that. Our stay was beyond lovely. Thank you guys so much. Alan & Heidi are amazing, as is the accommodation. We couldn’t have asked for anything more from Alan & Heidi, they literally go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as good as it possibly could be. The service even continues after you have checked out! We loved the accommodation, the service, and Alan & Heidi them selfs. We can not recommend this place enough. My husband and I stayed for 8 nights in a one bedroom apartment at Koh Tao Star Villa. Let me begin by saying that we have stayed at dozens of airbnb apartments around the world, travel extensively and are admittedly fairly picky about accommodation. Koh Tao Star Villa exceeded every requirement and expectation! First, our hosts, Heidi and Alan: They have lived on the island 10+ years and truly care about the community. They are welcoming, fun, funny and a true delight. We peppered them with dozens of questions which they replied to patiently, shared their insider island knowledge and went far beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. At the end of our stay, we were delighted to call them our friends! The thought that has gone into designing and operating this property shows in everyway. The apartments are well laid out, comfortably furnished, have everything (and I mean everything) that you need for a short or long term stay and are extremely well maintained. The attention to the extra details did not go unnoticed. For example, an outside drying rack for each apartment for wet clothes, bathing suits and beach towels, screens on all the windows so our bedroom and bathroom windows could be left open at night, a refreshment centre in the fridge where the price of the beer etc was the same as the store (so you don't have to fuss with bringing it home) and as much drinking water as needed from their water purification system (saving mountains of plastic from the landfill). From my perspective, the biggest compliment I could give this property is the cleanliness. The bed was THE cleanest I have EVER encountered in all my travels. Heidi not only pre soaks sheets, she irons them too! The apartment was spotless. Even the bottom cupboards in the kitchen, a place commonly neglected in cleaning were crystal clean. Alan helped us rent a motor scooter which is recommended, although he shuttled us to and from town for the first couple of days because we had a bit of rain. The villa is located up a road with some fairly steep hills. We managed to negotiate the road day and night. Although a bit nerve wracking at first, we "older" folks managed just fine. Alan will take you in the jeep two round trips to town each day but if you really want to see Koh Tao you need a scooter. Overall, this is a five star plus property! Thank you Heidi and Alan.…

I’ve been on koh Tao for numourous years now and work hard. When I get time off I like to travel around Thailand. Sometimes it not possible to go off the island so over the last few years I’ve taken a break and stayed at star villas on the island with all the amenities and creature comforts that they provide it has recharged my battery’s. Koh Tao Star Villa has clean, modern apartments up near the top of a quiet hill on Koh Tao. I stayed there for several months and loved waking up every morning to a beautiful ocean view and coming home in the evening to enjoy the sunset! The owners are long-term residents of Koh Tao so they know all of the ins and outs of the island and they are always happy to share advice about the island or assist you in any way they can. I could not recommend this location and the owners enough!
