Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Holy moly talk about a room with a view. My Partner and I stayed 6 nights in the beach front bungalows for 1800 TB - The Bungalow was AMAZING! It was right on Sairee Beach, clean sheets, towel, bathroom and room. Our room was cleaned every morning and sheets, towels were changed as well. The location was on point, within walking distance to a number of beachfront resturants aswell as a local food hall not far down the road. We had our own front veranda, to watch the sunset with an ice cold beer and fruit juice and melt the heat away. It can get noisy at night as many people walk along the beach to get back to their own places - However we found this rather entertaining as we had a group singing in Russian on evening it was a hoot. Highly recommend the Prik-Thai and will definately return !

Prik Thai is right next to the beach, the owner is super friendly and helpful and the staff are hard working and polite. The accommodation is cleaned every day with fresh bed linen and mosquitos coils lit outside There are lots of bars shops and restaurants nearby Scooter hire can be found next door at a good price Highly recommend

Ok this ain’t Sheraton so if you keep this in mind you will find this place just fine and likely better than a lot of other places around. It is located in the middle of Sairee beach just across from Scuba Junction diving school. The place has variety of accommodations ranging from bungalows to fan and ac rooms in motel style buildings in well maintained hotel area. The property has not one but two pools and that is on top of being literally 1 minute walk from the beach. Being located in the middle of Sairee beach it is walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. The rooms are descent size, simple and clean, they do include fridges and have a balcony and the owner provides free water bottles daily during stay. Bathrooms are spacious with good water pressure and if you traveled in Asia you know why I mentioned that. My room was not particularly sunny but this was due to building’s sun exposure and besides if you are in Koh Tao you likely won’t be spending your daytime in your room anyway. The place is run by a very sweet Thai lady that makes sure your stay there is as pleasant as possible. She was very helpful in making onward travel arrangements for me too. I do not hesitate to recommend Prik Thai if you are looking for well located clean and affordable place to stay in Koh Tao especially if you are taking your diving course at nearby Scuba Junction.

Dear Reader, What a fine resort is This! Why? Its clean I has good rooms not luxury but fine Good beds Normal shower Fine swimming pool Location is great. Next to the sea. If you wanna have a good breakfast for good prices theres next to prik thai a restaurant wich is called coffee boat. They are good and cheap. Special thanks to the lovely owner. She gave our little girl a ball to play with. Try as you wish also their washing service. Its good. Have fun. Martijn If you have questions let me know.

I'm surprised by the low rating on TripAdvisor - it scored much better on booking.com.. Do not let the low ratings put you off. The lovely lady at the reception, nookie, gives honest recommendations about the island, and went the extra mile to sort out my transport off the island. Stayed a week in a fan room and never had a bad night sleep. The support staff can't speak English but are all equally friendly and welcoming. Room and ensuite toilet were really clean. Room comes with attached minifridge. Scooter rental shop is right next door, massage shop at the front, small swimming pool within the compound, good food options within a 5 min walk. Definitely got more than what I paid for with Prik Thai. Only minor issue is that there's no safe in the room. There is one at the front desk available but it's only open from 0700-1700hrs..

Fantastic place to stay right in the middle of Sairee Beach! Nooki at the reception is the loveliest person, always a huge smile on her face and willing to help out. From providing me with a safe to store my valuables, to personally delivering aloe vera to my bungalow for my sunburn! Overall, Prik Thai is peaceful, clean and pleasant place to stay.

I booked the Thai-Prick after a not so great night at an other place. The lady who run the place is super nice and friendly and the resort in itself is well maintained . I was in one of the “condo” rooms (as opposed to the bungalow) but really liked it. It had no AC but a super duper fan right above the bed that kept me cool all night. The room was nice clean and fresh and they cleaned it as often or as little as you want. And it was right across to my diving shop. Super convenient and well priced, I would definitely book there again!

This would now be or third visit to Koh Tao and there are many places to stay variations in price, but we always stay at prik Thai because of the welcoming that Noc offers, she is very happy to meet and greet all persons that come to stay and always recognises previous persons who are retuning. The rooms are neat, clean and practical the price is very reasonable and if there are ever any issues Noc will quickly sort them out. Never anything seems to be s bother, highly recommend this place and will certainly comeback and stay 10/10 😊

The cleanest guesthouse I have ever stayed in Thailand! They changed our towels & bedsheets every day! Shower & toilet also very clean! Bed was uncomfortable, bit too hard. And pillows are huge. Lady at the reception is friendly and speaks good English! Good stay!
