We spent 5 nights at Samatha which means simply living in Thai. Madison the owner and her staff are very nice to us.
Apart from their nice breakfast choices, their other dishes are great too. We have chicken krispy, spaghetti bolognese, fried rice and spicy...More
Stayed in a hostel close by and came here for breakfast every morning. Great traditional breakfast at a reasonable price. Amazing coffee and great staff. Modern look to the restaurant that could fit in with any indie café in London
The staff were great, especially Tihö that works at the reception. He was always very helpful and made us feel welcome.

It's pretty easy to get to. All ferries arrive at Mae Haad pier on Koh Tao, there were lots of taxis waiting so we jumped in one and it was about 10 mins to the B&B. On the way back the hotel booked a taxi for us (which was cheaper than what we had paid on the way there!)
It's really close to the beach, just a few minutes walk. Same for restaurants and bars etc
It's set a bit away from the main strip at Sairee beach so it was quiet at night, unless you have noisy guests in the room next door! There was a bit of noise first thing in the morning from the bike place opposite.
Hope this helps!
