Condition of the room was fairly average; Had to kill quite a number of mosquitoes when first entering the room. Overall, the room seemed fairly clean, and served its purpose well as a place to sleep after being out all day. Room type: Double room with fan Lockers • Size: Safety deposit box actually in separate building from your room, which is only available during certain hours • Access: Provided Key Bathrooms • Number: 1 • Combined toilet/shower: Y • Hair Dryers: N Common Area: None Amenities • Included towels: Y • Included breakfast: N Misc • Set up bedding yourself: N • Break down bedding yourself: N • Laundry: clothes washing service for 50bhat/kg. No dryer • Elevator: N • Location: Fairly distant from the main Sairee Beach area. It was safe to walk, but note that there are no sidewalks, so it might feel a bit rough walking on the dark road at night with cars/mopeds driving by. Value: Ok - cheap for a private room, but it's fairly distant without much around it Misc: Has a fridge inside, which is a really nice perk on Koh Tao. I arrived one day late due to illness, so even though I saved the electricity and water for this day, and there was already an air conditioning unit in the room (just needed to be turned on), the front desk wouldn't turn on the AC for me for just one day of my 3 day stay. And I was asking while the power had suddenly cut out (ended up remaining out for ~30 min, but workers estimated it normally lasting about an hour). I realize this would have been bending the rules a bit, but I think it was a reasonable given the circumstances. Opportunities for improvement: Move safety deposit box into each room so visitors have 24 hour access to it

I booked to stay here with my husband and children for a week, which was a BIG mistake. When we arrived, the staff were unfriendly and there was no welcome, just “give me passport and 1,000 baht for room key”. We then went to our room and were hit with an overwhelming stench of sewerage - so disgusting!!!!! There were bugs everywhere, the floor was gritty and dirty and the bathroom had not been cleaned. There was a strip of dried poo on the toilet seat!!!! We asked for the bathroom to be cleaned, and all they did was hang a few scented things in the room. The sewerage smell well overpowered this though. Every time we used the toilet it blocked (and we didn’t put toilet paper) and at one stage overflowed. My children became too scared to go! The toilet was also accessed by a sliding door above the head of the bed so lying in bed was almost impossible because of the smell. The aircon barely worked, so we had to use the fan so for the one night we did stay, we all felt Sick lying in a hot room with poo smelling air being wafted around. There was also a list detailing how much every worthless thing in the room cost if we broke it, oh, and we had to pay 300baht per hour for any reception help outside of their small working hours. My husband had to unblock the toilet x3 in the 24 hours we were there. The sheets were also dirty with blood stains on a rock hard bed and the bed my son’s slept on were riddled with bedbugs. We left after one night for obvious reasons and the staff said they had never received any prior complaints and denied everything we said. Then I read reviews and see this has been going on for years. Sigh. I have travelled extensively in South east Asia and have never been treated so badly or stayed anywhere so disgusting. It is an absolute health hazard and should be shut down. Please DO NOT RISK IT!!! DO NOT STAY HERE, EVER!!!!!!!

The room was comfortable and clean with a hot shower. We had a lovely balcony with a view of the sea and without this we would of had a lower rating of the hotel. Staff weren't overly welcoming but we rented mopeds from them which was no hassle. 1000 baht deposit 10 minute walk to the town is fine but no paths and poor lighting There was a power cut from 9am to 1pm one day, out of there control but was irritating trying to charge stuff and the room was very hot

Amazing view over Sairee Beach amazing for sunrise/sunsets. The manager and co were brilliant throughout the stay, plus the price was very reasonable compared to the rest of Koh Tao. The only downside is the walk home in the nights, it’s a badly lit road which could be dangerous (this could be easily remedied by having a taxi, which we were too tight to pay as we were on a tight budget), would definitely again.

After spending three weeks in hostels on my first backpacking trip I decided I would stay at a hotel for one week while I went diving in Koh Tao. Two nights into my stay I noticed bites all over my legs. I spent my third night researching bed bugs all night. First thing in the morning I checked my legs and i had more bites than the night before. I proceeded to lift up my mattress and noticed bed bugs fall off as I picked it up. I let the manager know before I went for my three hour diving class. After my class I went to speak to the manager and he said that him and his staff checked the room for three hours and found no bedbugs. He said he would not do anything unless I took a picture. I explained that there were blood stains from the bedbugs and markings on my old sheets and that the bugs were too small to take pictures of. I pleaded that he refund me for the rest of the nights that I was staying so that I could go to a different hotel. After begging for 5 minutes he said he would not talk to me about this and he continued to watch TV on his phone. I am completely disgusted with the room and the service on this trip. DO NOT GO TO SAIREE SEAVIEW HOTEL.

Pros: the room is big & clean, has a hot shower, and the distance to the beach via the entrance of a nearby resort is very short. Also, we read that the hotel had a bit of a walk to the Sairee Beach centre, which is true, but it is only about 10 minutes. Cons: the staff, though friendly, require you to put down a ฿1000 deposit or your passport (which seems to be standard for accommodations in Southeast Thailand). Then, as you are led to your room, you see signs everywhere with costs of if you need to use something. Upon entering the room, the signs continue with every item in the room listed on a sheet along with the cost of it being damaged or lost. Furthermore, the minibar is completely STOCKED and it is noted that if something is taken and you deny it, you will be charged 20 times the cost of the item (they stock it with 24 items, so ensure there are 24 items when staff show you the room). At the end of your stay, you are required to check-out at 10:00AM (the earliest check-out we had in ALL of our Southeast Asia travels), and they will then proceed to inspect your room before returning your deposit. Though we had no issues, with all of the above considered, it made our stay feel very uncomfortable and not the typical kind hospitality that we had seen in Northern Thailand. I don’t think I can recommend this spot to future Koh Tao visitors.

I stayed with my husband for 10 days during our diving courses. The room was big, clean, good mattress and bed sheets, nice balcony with sea view. The price was reasonable. We also rented there a bike and snorkel masks. The service was good. I recommend the guesthouse.

I stayed here with friends for a few days for my first trip to Thailand. The place is great we had fantastic sea views and it was really quiet and peaceful (after being in Bangkok it was most needed!) The staff are very friendly, they have their own taxi to take you out and we did the snorkelling trip that the hotel advertises which was the highlight of my holiday! Laundry is really cheap and they get it back to you in a day. The only downsides are no food available at the hotel and the walk up the hill! Also, the step to our room just ended so you had to stretch across a drop to get in! Bit dangerous and could do with being sorted out. I wouldn't recommend it to a family with small children. Other than that was very happy with my stay at Seaview.

You have to pay for absolutely everything and this is ridiculous. 1 hour late check out (with is already so early, 10am) you pay 300, a shower in an used bathroom after checkout you have to pay... The hotel is far from the center and the other hotels so you have to walk along the main road in the forest which is not very nice. The staff is not helpful. The room is very dirty and fan is broken. No breakfast or any service offered. Old and not very cute.
