Lovely place with lovely people! We stayed here 9 nights and we have eaten several breakfasts, lunches, bites and dinners here. The staff were very nice. It is clean. And the food and cocktails are cheap and good.

No such thing as bees (as some nasty lady pretends in a review here, we heard her scream without reason and she was not civilised at all towards the staff! They showed her the place and her room before she agreed and payed for it.)

The swimming pool is also clean and very romantic.

If you go to Thailand you know you will encounter animals and wildlife. In our room (little bungalow near the swimming pool) we had zero bugs, spiders or whatsoever inside.
Every day we got clean towels and drinking water and they clean the room.

Yes sometimes you have to wait a little or things will not go as planned. Welcome to Thailand. Enjoy.

It is one of the view quiet places left at Koh Tao also because of the garden with waterfall and Buddha’s.

Within 200 meters you can buy food, get a massage and go towards the rest of the island.

Over the past 30 years we have been several times to Koh Tao and this time we stayed at Fisherman’s for the first but certainly not for the last time!

Had booked weeks in advance and was really excited to stay here, looked amazing in photos - however on arrival got a different room to booking - really dark, dingy (outside area smelt like stale urine) and not very clean room ( dead bugs on top bed covers..) whole resort looked a little under the weather sadly. When we questioned about room as it wasn’t the one we had originally booked we were told to book a new room via booking.com - which was substantially more than the original price, for the room we had originally booked? Unhelpful receptionist told us there was nothing they could do and we should leave. Much nicer places on the island with nicer staff I’m sure.

The hotel is stunning in a beautiful and quiet area of Koh Tao. The pool area is lovely and the infinity pool leads straight onto the beach.
The rooms are modern however there is no TV and no mosquito net on the window. Whilst said window is aesthetically pleasing, with nothing to shut us off from the outside world, we were eaten to death! The rooms also have little protection from noise! If this were to improve, along with the food, we would stay again.

Wow. Where do I even begin. The fisherman is a literal paradise on earth! I’ve stayed in many accommodations in country’s all over the world, and in Thailand, and never have I ever stayed anywhere that’s as beautiful, relaxing and divine as the Fisherman.

We were welcomed at reception by a lovely couple. All the staff were quick to help us out with anything. Multiple times they went out of their way to help us even if it was an inconvenience for them and were happy to do so.

The decorations at the location were fisherman themed and were elegant, quirky and picturesque. There was lots of tropical plants everywhere that gave it a jungle and adventurous feel.

The rooms were basic but aesthetic. They were clean and comfortable, with fresh water and toilet paper being brought to your room daily.

The infinity pool infront of the stunning beach was breathtaking. There’s a swing on the beach which is perfect if you want to get an Instagram photo (as vain as it sounds haha). Next door to the accommodation you can hire kayaks, snorkelling equipment or even book to go out diving! We really enjoyed hiring snorkelling equipment and kayaking to shark bay just around the island… we even saw a turtle!

We enjoyed many drinks, smoothies and food which was an absolute treat. No meal disappointed. The food is so cheap and affordable especially for the quality. It’s insane!
We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the pool bar/restaurant everyday as we didn’t see the point in going anywhere else! Why go anywhere when you can have an incredible view, unmatched food and spectacular staff?
(Absolutely recommend the mango smoothie to enjoy by the pool DELICIOUS!)

They have domestic dogs and cats on the property that were super chilled and friendly. As I’m an animal lover this completed my stay!

Overall, I could write an essay about reasons I absolutely adore this place. I would LOVE to go back and I would 100% recommend it to anyone staying or planning to stay in Koh Tao! It will not disappoint!!

This spot suited our family perfectly. The kids were in the beautiful infinity pool at every opportunity, right on the beach and we filled up throughout the day with delicious fresh fruit smoothies, fab Thai food, and some western tummy fillers.

Foreigners living locally as well as Thais and other tourists came to hang out in this chilled spot so there were other kids around to play with.

The staff were really friendly and kind, and replenished our water and towels in our aircon rooms.

The garden is lush and our stay was very peaceful.

The location is great as we were able to swim out to or rent kayaks to get to incredible snorkelling spots on the calm bay. The sea water was shallow and calm enough for young children to play in.

If you want a change of scene there are wonderful eating and drinking options a stroll along the beach, swings and hammocks on the beach, fruit bats to observe at night, the list goes on.

I loved this place located south of the main pier. It’s located on a beautiful little cove right on the beach front. The pool area is breath taking and the gardens and decor are wonderful. The food at the restaurant was very good too. My room was clean, safe, comfortable. And looked just like the photos online. This part of the island is very peaceful and the Ocean Sound Dive and Yoga, where I took a one day Try scuba lesson, was walking distance as were a few other good food places. The only down fall here is that none of the ATMs were in working order and I had to catch a ride to withdrawal money. However this is not the fault of the Fisherman resort, but future guests should be prepared. I enjoyed my first night so much I extended it to two nights and would happily go back again.

This place is an absolute Gem!
Not only is the resort in the perfect spot for most of the snorkeling spots , the place itself is exquisite and the staff are extremely polite, warm and welcoming-which goes a long way!
The food is amazing and extremely affordable compared to other resorts. The pool and bar area is by far top notch 👌

We stayed next door but used the restaurant and swimming pool each morning for breakfast and morning pool dip. We are here once in the evening also.

The staff are super friendly, the smoothies and food were lovely. Usually consisted of pancakes, French toast and porridge.

The pool is right next to the beach.

I know there’s a few more choice of restaurants available in the area, this one has a nice vibe and it’s worth supporting

The start of my stay was not promising. I could not find the free taxi shuttle they sent to pick me at the pier. They were unclear about where the pick up point was. Once I finally got there, they upgraded my room and the rest of my stay was really nice. I enjoyed the food and the bartenders/staff were very nice. It was a quiet area, they shut down at 9pm. Comfortable to relax around the pool. The room service was good, however, there were many ants on my sink. I liked the location, and it is right next to a dive resort. I think it was good value for my money. I would stay again, as long as they are clear about where taxi pick up is. :)
