Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have had our 2nd visit here, it on both occasions has been excellent and will come again, the staff are so friendly and the food amazing, comes with a free pickup from your hotel Haad Tien and possibly others.we love the Panoramic views are beautiful and with the background music such a great venue which is highly recommended. If you came here every day for a week you wouldn’t be able to work your way through the extensive menu! Thanks to the chef and staff you are amazing 🇬🇧

Place is up the hills and with a beautiful review. Altough it is littlebit far from the beach, the resort offer free transfer 3x per day to the pier and back + you can always rent a scooter (we had ours for 200bht a day). Service was really nice and room+balcony romantic. So 24 euros per night sure was worth it. Only not so perfect thing is maybe that the breakfest service is quite slow so if you plan to eat fast and go somewhere, then yake your time.

Venue itself is lovely. They offer free transfers to the pier/ town also which is needed to stay here. Road to resort is narrow, hillyand bumpy - you would walk it perhaps but you would be quuuite sweaty! Also lots of dogs around nearby so i would advise against walking home at night! Views and rooms are lovely.

Enjoyed our stay here, staff are friendly and loved having breakfast included but a few things bothered us; there is not enough lighting in the room, there is no light in the shower so it was dark, the bed was very uncomfortable and we didn't like having no bed sheets, just a blanket. The restaurant is abit expensive so if you arrive at night make sure you get some food. They didn't clean the room on our last day but there was 2 bottles of water left outside. Nice view from the balcony, especially at sunset and mosquito coils were provided. Good shuttle service 4 times a day to the pier area.

My partner and I stayed at the Lung Pae resort for 3 nights in one of the fm bungalows, the fan was more than enough to keep us cool and there were no problems with insects. The bungalow it's self was fairly spacious and immaculate all the way through to the bathroom. Apart from the first morning when we had a lie in, the bungalow was tidied and water replaced. What really stood out was how helpful and attentive the staff were, the free taxi to and from Mae Haad Pier was never a problem. If you get the chance the food at the restaurant on an evening is top notch.

Up in the hills of Kho Tao this is a beautiful, quit place with a spectacular view over a bay in the south of the island. The way is a bit adventurous, but its worth the way – totally! The restaurant is as well very tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful. I only could recommend this place. Except maybe for elder people, because of the stairs. They're a pain i.t.a.

We had the most perfect stay at Lung Pae. Room was perfect, views were out of this world, and the staff were SO kind. If you want somewhere private, look no further. Also, their free taxi service makes getting to town a breeze, so you can have the best of both worlds! Do not miss this special place! (also the food is amazing, check my review under the restaurant page for details)

Great place to for sunset and then have a meal afterwards. We both had steak which was lovely and tender. The house red wine by glass or carafe was also good and a lot cheaper than the other wines. Added benefit is the free taxi service. Didn't quite take us back to the door but a lot safer.than taking a motorbike up the road/ track.

We pay a little bit more than we were use to for a hotel here in Koh Tao because we want to make sure our days here were perfect. When we arrive to the hotel, after a horrible access road, we arrived into the hotel. The bellman took our suitcases and we had to down a lot of steps as we were in one of the bottom rooms in the of the resort (room 8). The views and the surroundings of the room are the best of the hotel, full of trees and palms but the rest of the room is quite worse than the middle standard hotels in Thailand. They have ventilations in all the room; that means, you can have all class of bugs in your room. At the first moment we enter in the room, the room was stinky, with a pee smell. The sink is really rudimentary. The quality of sleep it was OK with geko's sound that wake us a few times in the middle of the night but it's normal when you are sleeping in the middle of the forest. At the next day, as we had the breakfast included, we went in the restaurant and the views are awesome but the breakfast very little... You have 3 options and you can not order anything else... They don't have fresh fruit or even jam for the toast... And the only thing they give you for the toast is a butter what taste very bad. The coffee it wasn't very good either. I asked the waiter if I could order one toast more instead of the egg and the tomato salad, and he said NO. It's a pretty bad detail I thing... Because I didn't have any problems with this kind of things in another hotels in Thailand before. We didn't have any housekeeping service in the 3 nights we were in this hotel, the only thing we had it was a toilet paper and 2 bottles of water just one of the days but any fresh towel or sheets change... We wanted to rent a motorbike and the lady from the front desk but told us that we couldn't rent it from there, so she told us to take the free taxi from the hotel to rent the motorbike. She is kind and she help us telling us what to visit in the island. At the end of all, the only thing we were satisfy according with the money we paid it was the views of the room, but anything else... And just for this, I won't come back to this hotel for the money I paid.
