Very big room with soft bed, a tv and 2 fans. That was nice Because it was very Hot during our stay. Also good bathroom, with a small wall to split the shower and toilet. Very nice that not everything is wet after you take a shower. Owner is not much around, but you can ask the neighbours if you need him. A little far from the pier, but close to the beach, restaurants, 7/11.

We stayed here for three days and had a nice stay here in Pranee Guesthouse. It was clean, the staff were friendly, the guesthouse is well located and the beds were okay! We would really recommend this guesthouse due to it's price/quality.

For what you pay, this room is absolutely perfect. Me and my gf were finishing our backpacking trip through Thailand and ended up spending the last six days here. The location is absolutely prime, right at the hub of Soiree beach with a 7-11 a stones throw away. Rooms were simple but big. We booked the fan rooms and the room had two fans which were PLENTY cold at night. The rooms did have a few mosquitos but for the price we paid we couldnt complain. Bathrooms had no hot water, but its so hot on Ko Tao during the day we didnt care. Rooms were quiet and we never heard a thing, and CLEAN. Rooms were cleaned when we asked and that included 2 water bottles. No safe or fridge, but these are BUDGET rooms. Right below the guesthouse was a few small restaurants with the locals selling cheap fruit shakes and Pad Thai (60THB) which was great as we were on a budget. Overall this is a great place to stay if you are looking to get dive certified or need a room on the cheap. 5 min walk to the beach.

We stayed here for 6 nights as it was pretty cheap and in a great location. We enjoyed our stay and even tried to extend but they unfortunately didn't have any rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean and came with free bottled water and towels. The 2 fans were powerful and did a pretty good job at keeping us cool at night. The shower only had cold water but to be honest that's all i wanted after a day in the sun. There was a TV in the room but it only had a couple of Thai channels. The WiFi was sketchy in the room and it could do with a fridge but the great central location surrounded by restaurants, street food, bars and shops with the beach 5 mins walk away more than make up for this. I would stay here again.

Our room was cheap and big. It was clean but just really really hot! We knew we weren't going to have air conditioning but having only a fan was not enough. The mattress was so uncomfortable, I could feel every spring.

First off, very friendly staff but they are seldom at the reception which is a walk away from where we are staying. The reception is a corner away from where the rooms are located. Its not very convinient and the reception counter isnt always staffed but the restaurant beside helps to cover the duties if you go look for them. We got up early to dive and had no water at all to shower with. It was quite a terrible shock but we were thankful we had bottled drinking water to bathe with. On one of the times we tried to shower, there wasnt much water coming out at all and we had to resort to filling water bottles with water prior to showering so as to have enough water flow. I recommend scooter rental from them as they are reasonably priced and honest. Even offering half day rentals. Their location is also very good and a short walk to dive shops and the beach as well as local food.

We stayed here for 5 nights while we did our open water certification and fun dives. As the other reviews testify, the location is prime -- 7-11 right across the building, the beach 5 min walk away, and located at an intersection which opens you to a wide variety of eating options (and dive schools) a quick stroll away. The managers were all very nice and recommended us good beaches to go to, along with necessary info about getting there. You can rent scooters at the place (although they run out pretty quickly -- ask early in the day!) and also get discounts on snorkeling trips (which we didn't do, but seemed to be a great additional feature). They don't clean the rooms unless you ask for it (due to the water shortage on Koh Tao), but when you do, the rooms are made very clean by the staff. Few downsides were that the room felt humid/damp and the bathroom had a weird smell, but that seems to be somewhat attributable to the rainy season and the nature of the plumbing, rather than their cleanliness. The room itself is basic -- no A/C, just a fan, no safe, no fridge, no hot water -- but was quite spacious and a fair deal for the price you pay. Other accommodation with similar prices seem to offer (or lack) the above mentioned features so that is to be expected. Overall, pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone looking for affordable accommodation on Koh Tao.

The hotel is really good for what you pay, the offer to get your room cleaned is a touch, it would be amazing if there was air-con but unfortunately there isn't but the fans are good enough, staff are friendly and helpful and location is spot on! Also just below is a restaurant called black garlic it is DELICIOUS and so reasonably priced with the 10% discount you receive for being a pranee guest!

This place is perfectly located 5mins from Sairee beach. We opted for the standard double room with balcony and air con and it was great. Definitely eat in the restaurant downstairs as you get 10% off for being a Pranee guest and its outstanding food. Regular ht water and we experienced no blackouts. We booked a snorkelling trip through the hotel for 600 thb each which was super. The only downside is we had no fridge and no safe in our room.
