This new hotel provides clean bed, comfortable stay with reasonable price. It's just within walking distance to the bus station . Although heavy traffic around that area, it's incredibly quiet at night.

We stayed one night after a long drive from Bangkok. The hotel is located in the centre of Lampang. The room is standard. It is new, clean, and bright. Bed is good, comfy.
But i think the wall isn't thick enough to prevent noise outside. We could hear more noise from people in hallway, a lot of car noises outside hotel.

If you travel with a business purpose, you could ask for special price at reception. (550฿ for a standard room) Show your taxpayer identification number.

It's a low priced budget hotel without breakfast. One of the girls in the reception spoke rather good English. I only paid 510 baht a night and stayed 3 nights. The room was nice and very clean. The bathroom also good. I would like the bed to be a bit harder, but it was ok. Basic tv channels in Thai. And the aircon was very good.
For 510 baht it's a great budget accomendation.

I arrived at midnight looking for a quality nap driving from Chiang Rai to Bangkok. Receptionist said that I'd need to show my PASSPORT to check in... I live here in Thailand for 8 years NEVER had to show my passport even at police checkpoints but at Immigration once in a year for my visa extension. I carry a valid Thai drivers license what actually has my passport number on it. This works at ANY OTHER hotels in the Kingdom but Hop Inn Lampang. I find this establishment pretentious and the service racist. Would not recommend.

We are staying in lampang and a local Thai friend booked the first night for us, so cheap!

The room is quite small and modern, we had the ground floor. The staff cone in everyday and clean the room and replace the water. The only small issue was noise from the hall but we found that motel is mainly used by Thai people passing through and they get home quite late. We could not see any farangs . We can walk to big c, homepro, makro and central plaza. If your female I suggest you use an umbrella to block the sun whilst your walking in between places and there is no shades awning skywalk like Bangkok

The Hop Inn chain of hotels seem to have the formula right if this location is anything to go by. Cheap and Cheerful. The hotel is new, so the rooms look good.
Beds in cheaper hotels in Thailand can be ridiculously hard, but the bed here was fantastic. Rooms seem quiet.
It is a little way out from the old town and centre of Lampang, but there is plenty of transport available. The location is very close to the swankiest hotel in town, so you can pick up whatever transport you need from there, including horse drawn carriages..... Good food at the small restaurant on street corner next door, but expect to pay a few baht more than the centre of town.
On the negative side there is only one lift for 6 floors... the rooms are small.... water in shower is at best tepid..... and no kettle in room. But for 550 to 600 baht... a bargain.

I found this to be the perfect hotel for overnighting after a long day of driving on my way to Chiang Mai. At under 600 Baht through Agoda, it's an amazing value for when you only need a bed and internet. Yes, the walls are a bit worn, but it's basically like a Thai version of ibis.

Pros
- Surprisingly fast and reliable WiFi. 17mbps down and up!
- Everything seemed clean. I did not see any insects either.
- Comes with a minifridge and 2 bottles of free water.
- Very, very comfortable bedding. The mattress was very soft.
- Checking out and in was very fast and my 100 Baht key deposit was returned without any issues.
- Lots of parking and relatively conveniently located.

Cons
- Soundproofing isn't great although the other guests kept things quiet after 11.
- The door peephole doesn't have a cover. This problem is easily solved by crumpling some tissue paper and stuffing it in.
- The water flow in the shower could be better. As well, the soap dispenser is located only in the shower so you'll have to reach over when washing your hands.

Great budget hotel. Large room, good tv and air conditioning. Small balcony with drying rack. Laundry and self service machines on first floor. Good parking, but no restaurant. A first for me in Thailand, a hotel that actually tests and maintains the fire alarm system!! Being an ex-fire safety engineer I know the importance of regular testing. Never seen it done in Thailand till here. Two thumbs up!

I stayed for one night at the Hop Inn in Lampang. No one at the hotel speaks any English whatsoever. In fact I couldn't even pay with my Credit Card as the Front Desk Male Assistant didn't know how to operate the Credit Card Terminal. The Price per room is 600 Baht and you have to leave a 100 Baht Key Deposit. The Rooms are basic, No Tea/Coffee making facilities. TV with ALL Thai Speaking Channels ( 10 in total ). Don't choose the ground floor as the Entry/Exit Door from the reception to the corridor is opening and closing all night and due to it not fitting correctly makes an ear piercing screeching noise. As I found out. When mentioning this in the morning, all I got was a sorry and a smile. There are less expensive hotels in the area with similar if not better facilities. The Hiotel is within walking distance to Central Plaza. The car parking was the only plus point, it was easy and secure.
