This is an excellent place to stay for a relaxing break. We stayed here for 2 days as part of a road trip following the Mekong, but wished we could have stayed longer but have to keep to a schedule to get back home. The river views from the restaurant and the entire guesthouse are superb and relaxing. The restaurant... More

If you have had a stressful visa run this is the place to stay on your return across the bridge,on the river in beautiful gardens. The guesthouse is Thai style with wooden floors, wooden shutters on the windows and mosquito nets over the beds.I stayed in room1,a triple for 700 Baht. There are also some stunning Portugese themed apartments. Julian is... More

We stopped in here for a couple of nights in the middle of our trip. We came for rest and recuperation, which is what we got. Julian is the proprietor and Rebecca our host. Both very kind, friendly and helpful. The onsite food is quite good, at a reasonable price and enjoyed under nice open air deck with thatched roofs... More

Thank you for your lovely review. We do hope that you return as many people often do not realise that north Isan has much more to do and see than the area around Vientiane. Whether it is the bizarre Sculpture Park with its 5 storey high sculptures, the lovely and unusual Taa Sadej Indochina Market which is rather like an... More

I've been visiting the Mut Mee for about 25 years. Love it! In fact, it's my favorite place to relax. For me, it is tourism done right. You get the sense of community when you enter the soi (small street). The people are welcoming, the food delicious and the garden is peaceful. It's near a lot of things that aren't... More

You're in Nong Khai for your own reasons, right? So stay at the only place that makes perfect sense. Mutt Mee. Sure, the view of the river is fabulous, but that's just a bonus with all the other good stuff; cool rooms, terrific shaded patio areas, big birded trees, fresh and delicious foods, knowledgable staff, and close proximity to all... Mut Mee is so much more than a Guesthouse! I originally planned to stay for 3 nights but ended up staying for 6. Julian and his wife are very friendly, they take interest in each one of their guests and are always up for a chat while you're lounging in the beautiful gardens. I arrived during a popular time and... More

A beautiful place to stay in Nong Khai. The rooms are definitely Thai style in decoration, very beautiful. At the same time very modern and well maintained. A great garden with plenty of space to sit in with roofs over the tables to keep the sun or rain off. The bar and food all works on the honour system. Enjoyed... More

There is not much to do in Nong Khai but if you need to spend some time in a quiet and peaceful place to rest after some crazy travels or a long stay in an organic farm, for example, Nong Khai is a good place and Mut Mee a great choice. We had a cheapest double room (350 bhats with... More

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. You say that there is not much to do in Nong Khai, however, we would like to show that there is in fact an abundance of activities and things to see here. First of all there is our extraordinary Sculpture Park Salakaewkoo with 7 storey sculptures, the bazaar like Taa Sadej Market,... More

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Mut Mee. Julian, the owner is a very personable fellow and takes a personal interest in the comfort and needs of the guests. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere so peaceful and relaxing. Others have mentioned the mossies being bothersome but they weren't a problem for us and I'm a... More
