Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is s new hotel. It locates in the town, but it takes about 10 - minute walk to the Mekhong river and local attractions. The room and the bed are clean and comfort and the price is right. Self-service coffee is available free of charge during 6-10 am.

Comfy bed, nice air conditioning, sparkling clean, nice staff. Otherwise no breakfast and not many extras. It is a bit difficult to get to the station (my TukTuk drove a hard bargain for 100BHT, probably justifiably given the distance) but for a night or so it is great value. If you plan to stay here for longer make sure you get the Grab app or similar in order to get around, if you do not have a car. Decent hot water....a rarity in a budget hotel (this is part of a chain of budget hotels and given the standards here I will be looking for this chain elsewhere).

while the room is clean, it is also quite small. no amenities other than 2 paper cups, 2 bottles of water, soap and shampoo dispenser. no glasses to tooth brushing. staff is young, but not very knowledgeable. the thai driver license is even accepted for flying domestic. not so the hotel. also they tore out the stapled arrival card, which if lost is a pain (hence it is stapled into the passport). no breakfast offered, not even in room. normally get that at places with the same price. there is no restaurant or breakfast room either. classification should be 1 star for hotel. i selected midrange for price as many hotels offer more for the same price.

The hotel is very nice, new and clean. Staffs were nice and helpful. Room was clean and modern with comfy bed. It was located a bit far from town but that’s not a problem to travelling around as you can ask hotel staff to call taxi or skylap (local tuk-tuk) to pick you up. The location is not far from Thai-Lao bridge. You can make a one day trip to Vientian, Lao PDR. If you want to use hair-dryer or iron, you can get them at the counter on 1st floor with 100 baht cash deposit which you will get back when you return them. If you are looking for something to eat, there are frozen food and soft drink for sell at the lobby. For the shower, the water temperature is uncontrollable. There were just only too hot and very cold but it was acceptable for me for this room rate.

We arrived over an hour before check in and our room was not ready. This was immediately rectified and keys given, A second key for one room was given free of charge without any hassle. The rooms, although basic were clean and comfortable. Not much space in he room but that was not a problem. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is a good eating place in the street parallel to the hotel which hotel staff recommended. Also value for money. Would not hesitate to go again.

Having stayed in Nong Khai before, I had already seen the Hop Inn and thought I’d try it this time. Normally I stay in guesthouses which can be very hit and miss. However the Hop Inn was perfect, although the room did remind me of a hospital room, it was clean and tidy, with a nice soft bed. The shower was excellent too. WiFi is good also and I would have given it a 5, but not much choice of food in the lobby, instant noodles and microwave rice, no restaurant too. But overall very good, I will definitely use Hop Inn again.

There are NOT many good places to stay in Nong Khai. Hop Inn is one of the best choice if you are here for work. Others in town are mostly small guesthouses which you don’t want for sure. The bed, the bathroom and the coffee are very good as always. Again, I wish Hop Inn has coin laundry. It was raining a lot and my clothes were damp most of the time there.

Definitely a great hotel to choose when you at Nong Khai . Room was clean and looks new. Love the comfortable bed during our 3 night stay at Nong Khai. For that kind of price we paid for on our Budget tour , definitely a great place to stay with .

Good location easy walk into town, beds very comfortable too. Only gripe is if another guest closes their bedroom door everyone in the hotel knows about it, soundproofing very poor. Please ensure if your a farang you have your passport they will not accept a drivers license or the pink ID card

A Thai budget hotel chain offering clean, fresh, bright rooms with very good large beds, excellent aircon and a mini fridge. It is located on the major 2 highway running parallel to the river and is a fifteen minute walk to the river, the famous Tha Sadet market or the bus station. The train station and bridge to Laos are ten minutes in a tuktuk. ( tuktuk's in Nong Khai charge per person not flat fee) If you want a meter taxi they queue at the bus station. Staff are courteous and helpful but English is basic. No restaurant on site but 7-11 and streetfood are a block away. The superb Dee Dee restaurant is also nearby too.(ask directions for " larn arharn dee dee " If i had to improve the hotel i would make the car park covered and improve the aircon in reception as it is like a sauna during the day.
