PARK and POOL, If your going to stay at Nongkhai.....Then this resort is the place to stay, the pool and gardens are just beautiful, a tropical paradise. Walking distance to the lao boarder, hire a scooter from the hotel, short ride down the back street past local shops, cafes, massage shops down to walking street, the markets....to the mighty Mekong for the view & dinner etc....but OMG did mention the tropical paradise back at the resort. We had the best poolside villa...was what made it for us, staff always there for customers

Have stayed P&pool since they opened, approximately 25 visits. Last visit I was rudely told to not park my motor scooter in front of my bungalow by male staff from office. We moved it when we left for dinner. Came home late and thought we’d be ok to park, it’s never been a problem before and everyone else does it. 10am next morning we are packing to check out and a lady comes from office pounding on our door, she was so rude and abusive. Demanding we move it immediately. So disappointed as I have praised this place from when they first opened and recommended so many friends to go. Cleaning staff are lovely kind people, the ones in office and check in need a lesson in hospitality. I approached them when checking out and tried to reason with them but just rude and arrogant, so so disappointed after such a long relationship with this business. Also sent email they didn’t respond. The bike was not blocking anyone or a safety issue. It was on my bungalow area that I had paid for A message to the guys on big bikes on road trips, they want you to leave your bike in car park near front entrance.

Booked and paid with trip.com and got a last minute rate for a room for 2 for less than 700 Baht. Have stayed in another hotel in Nong Khai for 650 Baht with no breakfast and have viewed several other hotels/guesthouses of the same price, so to me this is the better deal where we can swim. The resort is old and outdated so bed sheets and stuff are old but the value is very good. Breakfast is a simple buffet so I could eat until full with 3 types of fresh fruits, salad, 7 types of foods, pork boiled rice, rice, etc. No boiler in room but guests can use the hot water pot at Reception. Aircon worked well. Glass windows at front. A small glass window at back. Shower room door is opened to outside so it takes up the space of the room. We ate lunch in the Cafe. A huge bowl of soup costs 120 Baht. Rice 20 Baht a dish. Both of us were so full with 160 Baht. Smiling Reception and other staff at the Cafe. Fast check in and fast check out. We booked the room and arrived by tuk tuk about half an hour later and they saw our prepaid booking. I other places we stayed, Reception sometimes asked for the payment since they didn’t notice that the bookings were paid for. I was very happy when I checked in here. They have swimsuits for rent at 60 Baht if you don’t bring yours. They have a weird notice saying you will be fined if you swim with not proper swimsuits. Normally we don’t see this notice in upscale resorts. From Nong Khai train station, cross the street, walk to the right into a small street where you see the resort signage. Turn left and walk for a few minutes. Park & Pool is on you right.

Had reserved a "villa" for 24 days while visiting family. Got there and the property was nothing like the pictures. Worn, dusty curtains, bugs, dirty shower, weak wi-fi, no place to set up luggage, sink stopper laying on edge of sink. And what is it with photocopying your passport??? Risky. HOW DO THESE PLACES GET GOOD RATINGS ON AGODA? Looked at other rooms on the property hoping to find something better, but no luck. We immediately changed our plans and cancelled.

I first stayed here in 2018 and it was as Ì then described a 'Gem' in Nong Khai. Fast forward to the present of June 2022 and this place is one you will want to forget. It claims fast check in, but the receptionist didn't seem to have a clue what she was doing, and took what seemed an eternity to find me on their computer system. Finally 15 minutes later I was given the key to my booked chalet. There was no assistance with my baggage and was asked to follow a woman who took me within reasonable proximity to point out which one was mine. On opening the door I was knocked back by the smell of stale air. The duvets and pillows on the twin beds did not look inviting and had that grey well used look about them. The same for the towels, these had seen better days and were threadbare and frayed. In the cupboard for storing clothes the shelf was filthy dirty with green mold growing thick on the inside of the doors. The bathroom door had not been opened in sometime and I had to literally put my shoulder against it to force it open, where I was greeted with more stale air. As for the aircon a hand held fan would have had more effect than this excuse for air-conditioning. I didn't not stay to look at the swimming pool or sample the food, but put into operation my own fast check out and was gone! Albeit with the loss of £256.

I stayed here 2 nights in a twin room and it was ok but not perfect. Staff were all nice and friendly. The room was ok but aircon too noisy. Also my second night people next door were making alot of noise and banging their door alot from 6.15am onwards. The pool was pretty relaxing to chill at. Breakfast was ok but nothing special too. It's a good place to stay if you come by train you can walk 5 mins to station like I did.

A verdant oasis of plants and flowering shrubs and trees. Spectacular asset. As a Real Estate The from the States we rented a Penthouse 2b,2baths, loved it, plenty of room for 5 easy. Great food, music, spotless housekeeping, and great front desk. The team here has it together!! The pristine grounds and meticulously kept pool adds to your enjoyment, minutes to downtown, and quiet. I slept like a baby. The property is Owned Managed which makes the difference. I stayed here for a month 2.5 years ago, and the improvements make it better. Look no further than Park and Pool!!!😎

When we arrived at this very cheerful and modestly-priced resort on the outskirts of Nong Khai, the first person to catch our eye was the genial Khun Toi (Tony), hunkered down unobtrusively on a barstool near the reception. All questions seemed to require subtle sign-offs by Tony. "Is he the big boss?", I asked. All the girls at the reception fell about in peals of laughter. Yet, as our stay progressed, it was clear that Tony was indeed the big boss, the highly competent Captain, running this charmingly funky resort like a tight ship. A large swimming pool, small spotless air con villas in the garden, truly excellent food, birds chirping from every tree, bicycles with interesting brakes for hire to explore the nearby park and then the cycle-tracked promenade along the Mekong leading all the way down town. All this for a price so reasonable, you do a double take. The staff are charming and speak entertaining English. When it's time to say farewell, it's a 5 minute walk to the railway station and you may find someone running behind you, not to say there has been a mistake with the bill, but just to wave you warmly on your way. The Pool and Park Resort punches way above its weight.
