Located along the riverside of Nan river and in the middle of main attractions in Phitsanulok (within the range of 1 km to 3 main temples, 5 minutes driving to Chan royal palace (historical site), 10 minutes driving to sgt.maj Tawee folk museum and 15 minutes driving to Phitsanulok airport, also plenty of local noodle shops around the place), this hotel has a perfect location!

Staffs are friendly.
Cutie (and clean) reception area. (You can see Nan river from reception area)
Nice and comfortable room. (pity that we cannot view Nan river from our room)
Good breakfast (but not variety).
990 baht net per room including breakfast for 2 (quite cheap, I think it was a discounted price due to Covid).

Worth money spent, I truly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Phitsanulok.
5 stars

PS. Don't miss "Dragon bistro" , this restaurant provide you a great view of Nan river
with lived music. Moreover, "salmon with pesto sauce" here is awesome!

Great value for money. I don’t have many other hotels in this area to compare with, as I used to stay at Topland Plqza Hotel due to facilities. Topland is pretty old and is not well maintained. That’s why I went for this Boutique hotel, which is more modern and has a nice atmosphere. The restaurant provides good food with live music that is not too loud. Which is usually the case in many restaurants in Thailand. The view of the river is great in the evenings. The best part is that, this place has a Café with top notch quality coffees. I’m usually very picky with my cappuccino and have received perfect Norwegian quality cappuccino for 50 bath.

Now some practical information:
It’s very convenient with late check out. You can pay a bit extra per hour. In my case, I paid only 100 bath per hour.
The breakfast was good and has the basics. Not 5 star hotel level, but delivers both thai and intercontinental.
The restaurant is outside, with lots of fans to keep you “chilled”. It’s nice and windy during the evenings due to the river. It’s very tiring to sit and dine at shopping mall, so I really recommend this hotel. Also, it’s good to support the local boutique hotels as well.

I had been to the hotel on January 1st. The restaurant served a really yummy Thai food with an annoying of mosquitoes. Staffs were really helpful and polite. Small hotel by Nan river with such a great scenic and not far from the famous Phitsanulok Temple. The hotel room is tidy and small while the bathroom is even smaller than usual. The water tap in bathroom is big with strong water flow which is not match the tiny sink placed under it. Shampoo and shower gel is limited, so if you think you’re a big guy or need more showers gel to use then I suggest you to buy more from any convenience store elsewhere coz there is no 7/11 in those area.

I stayed a night here as it is 5 minuets walk to the renown Beautiful Buddha image . The room is ok not big but not feel uncomfortable. The atmosphere is quiet and close to the Nan river. The staff is friendly.

My first stay at the Dragon River was soon after it opened, and I was allocated a spacious suite of rooms. This time round I was given a regular room, much smaller with a rather cramped shower room (for me, anyway!) although clean and with the usual facilities. The hotel seems to specialise in tours now, as there were two groups of (rather noisy) Chinese tourists staying during my three day visit. The location is still excellent! By the Nan river and just along the road from Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, an important, and very beautiful, 14th century Buddhist temple. Buffet breakfasts were fine, if a little limited, and the staff were helpful.

We chose this hotel because of location and good reviews. Everything is good including breakfast. But the room is a bit old. Not many parking space for all guests. The river view is great. Look like they are doing something at the river. Hope it will look perfect when it’s done.
