Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we absolutely loved the place. It is in new Sukhothai so keep that in mind if you want to visit the historical park, but the location in new Sukhothai is great, right near the centre of town on the river. The service is also excellent. On the day we wanted to go to the historical park, we were attempting to book a grab (thai uber) to take us there, but none were available. We went out into the street and there wasn't a taxi or tuktuk in sight. We went inside and asked the owner Mr. Toh, who was at the reception desk at the time, if he could call us a taxi to take us to the park. "Nonsense" he said, "I will take you myself". Yeah! Seriously! The hotel owner drove us in his personal car the 30min drive to old Sukhothai. Not only that though, when we got there, ho drove us to his favourite sights on the outskirts of the park. Sights we probably would not have made it to if were walking around, and they ended up being some of our favourites! Furthermore, we had an early morning departure on our final day, and he woke up early just for us, just so we could check out and he could say goodbye. My Toh, you made our trip to Sukhothai very special, and because of you, it was one of the highlights of the trip, thankyou!

Great place. We paid 600 bath a night for a double room with aircon and en-suite bathroom. Rooms look exactly like the pictures on the facebook page. Very beautiful. Super Clean place! Everything is in great shape, the owners take good care of the place. The shower has a good flow and the water is hot. Free parking in the back, so if you rent a scooter you can put it in a safe place at night, no worries. There's a fridge in the room, they allowed us to eat our own food for breakfast on the front terrace, and lended us some spoons :) They make the room and put new water bottles everyday. Also the best part for us is that the room is very quiet and after three weeks travelling in laos and Thailand, the beds were simply the BEST we ever had. Felt like heaven and we had 3 good nights of regenerating sleep! Thank you for your service! We'll come back to your guesthouse if we're ever in Sukhothai (Which is GREAT by the way) again ;)

I am very happy we chose TR Guesthouse! The hosts and other staff are friendly and competent, giving you your space but still making you feel welcome. The rooms seemed to be newly renovated, clean and the beds are extremely comfortable and big. The location is also great! Easy accessible, just off the busy main road and close to the 7 Eleven and transport to the old town. Will definitely recommend them to anyone visiting Sukhothai!

Very friendly staff, took us on an activity (making clay Buddha's, really recommend this activity, even if you have to pay for it) and transported us to old city sukhotai and dropped us off at a bike shop, the rooms are really clean (we had a bungalow) and are cleaned/restocked on water everyday! Definitely recommend TR Guesthouse

Very surprised, very happy. Can believe the positive reviews prior to mine. One thing though, if you’re travelling by car, you’re in for a parking challenge. A few small bars and restaurants extremely close as well as 7 eleven.

Once again chance brought me to the right place. The owner, his wife and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Convenient location, clean, practically luxurious room certainly for the cost, private bath. They even arranged for my bus ticket back to Bangkok. If you are going to Sukohthai and staying in new town, highly recommended.

On our way to Chiang Mai we stopped by in Sukhothai to have a look at the historical park. We took one of the double rooms because the bungalows were fully booked (so definitely book in advance when you’re planning to come), but we were very happy anyway. The room was quite big, the bed was high and very comfortable with several pillows. The room was nicely decorated and perfectly clean, same with the modern bathroom (hot shower). Towels, shampoo, and drinking water were provided. The ac worked perfectly and we enjoyed a good nights sleep in the soft sheets. The staff was nice and helped us to book bus tickets and a tuk tuk to go to the bus station. For the ticket service they charge 20 baht per person what is fine in my opinion. You can rent scooters there too to go to the historical park, which is often cheaper than going by bus or tuk tuk, and also a lot more fun. Check out the scooter place at the end of the road tho (it has a restaurant upstairs, you can’t miss it), they made us a better offer, were very nice, and we had a safe and good full automatic. We had breakfast at TR guesthouse too, I can highly recommend the pancakes! Besides the usual banana pancake, they also have a pineapple pancake. Both were big, fluffy, and absolutely delicious, some of the best pancakes we had on our 4-week trip so far :) The fruit shakes were available without sugar and pretty big as well and a refreshing way to start the day!
