We stayed in this hotel during the Loy Krathong period, which means that just about every hotel in the region is fully booked. Initially we were glad that we found a hotel for two nights at all, but that changed when we got there.

First we called ahead to inquire if we could perhaps check in early and to our surprise that was no problem for the owner. When we got there it became clear that he had our room cleaned especially for us so that we could check in at an early hour. Thanks again for that!

The room was spacious and comfortable. Our plan was to try out the pool at least once, but unfortunately our planning did not leave enough time for that: too bad because the pool was pretty big and well kept.

Breakfast was on the top floor. That location offered a great view on the surrounding area (well outside of the city itself) and also provided a natural cooling with a lovely breeze. The food was made according our preferences, so of course we like what we got on the table.

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Funny fact: all the time I thought that the owners first name is "Georges" ... but it is not. You will have to ask him yourself to find out his real name...

All in all we stayed here two nights and the hotel was truly a gem of a find.

Stopped here for one night and had a great room with a four poster bed with all amenities and a big room. Nice welcome from the owner and staff.
Has a swimming pool as well.
The best bit for us was the large terrace on the first floor where you have a choice of breakfasts, and good views over the city. Only slight negative is if its busy car parking might be a problem on the premises. But would certainly stay here again when visiting Sukhothai.

I stayed here for 6 nights and loved it.
Close to the main street with just a 5 minute walk to the shops
Great value per night for a short stay.
Well worth a try with a nice pool to relax in during the hot afternoons.

I stayed at the Baan George for 6 nights and loved it. It`s a short walk to town from the hotel if you need anything or just want a look around. The breakfast was very nice and the pool is a welcome relief from the heat.

On a tiny Soi in Sukhothai, close to restaurants and good street food. The rooms are huge, airy and have great views from the large balcony. Large very comfortable canopy bed.The pool is cool and refreshing. Breakfast is served on the third floor veranda with views of Sukhothai and the surrounding mountains. The owner Luc makes the bread rolls every morning fresh! Delicious espresso! Large fruit platter! Unreal how good it is!
This is the kind of place to rent a room for a few months and write, read or make art.
Beautiful and I want to go back soon!

This charming house sits in the middle of mediocre Sukhothai like a jewel glistening in the reflection of its blue pool. I am not exaggerating. It is beautiful. It almost doesn't belong there.
Our room was spacious with everything a traveling family can need - double bed with another set of bunks, kettle, coffee and tea, fluffy towels, tv, reliable Wi-Fi, large balcony and enough space for all our bags and more. Everything worked and was in its space.
Breakfast is served on the rooftop, where one can see most of the city, as the house is the tallest around, and it was delicious and plentiful.
Luc and Poo are wonderful hosts and it was a pleasure to spend time with them.
Do eat at their restaurant. Everything was so good, we ended up either eating there or getting food delivered to the rooftop.
This place is still one of my family's favorites on our long journey so far and I cannot see how anyone can be disappointed of it.

Notes: there are a lot of dogs in the area and since its down the alleys off the main road, at night they can get aggressive. We just avoided going out, but keep it in mind, especially if you are scared of dogs.
Also, the pool was very slippery when we were there. I fell on the stairs and another guest mentioned they did too. I hope they have taken some measures.

After a couple of days in Bangkok this was our next stop. It’s not that easy to find, but then again that’s maybe a pro.

We booked the family room and it passed all the tests. Decent beds (maybe a bit firm to some), hot shower, medium size patio and direct acces to the pool. Breakfast is good with excellent coffee.

The house is near the main road where you can easily get transportation to the temples, bus station etc.

Poo is very welcoming and helpful.

This is real value for money!

This is a little oasis of a place in New Sukhothai ... beautiful building in the midst of a lovely little Thai enclave off the main road .... gorgeous swimming pool much needed in the heat and rooms with lots of space, big balconies and comfortable beds. Breakfast on the roof was just great with the best bread we have had in Thailand - fresh daily and must be homebaked. The atmosphere is really chilled, great hanging out with other guests around the pool - easy to get to old Sukhothai by bus which is simply a must stop in Thailand. The owner was so kind - took us to the bus station when we were leaving and helped me after departure by finding my favourite missing top and posting to Bangkok - you couldn't ask for better service! Big thank you to everyone.

Tripadvisor is my "go to guide" for selecting accommodations and entertainment venues. After doing my due diligence and researching our options for Sukhothai we landed at Baan Georges Hotel. From the moment you enter the property at the gate you might say "Oh My"....what a lovely place. Upon entering this palatial property we were greeted by the happy smiling face of Khun Poo. Taken directly to our rooms and wow what a nice room, beautiful decor and ohhhh hot shower. Air conditioned, and all the amenities provided. Excellent view from the roof top terrance where your enjoyable breakfast will be served along with Americano coffees should you desire. Off the main street about 1 block and easy access to restaurants/7-11/street vendors. Our friends who just married said "lets return to this hotel for our honeymoon getaway". Can't beat that. You won't be disappointed at Baan Georges Hotel. The enormous pool speaks for itself.
