We booked expecting a rural experience & we got one. We'd already visited several homestays of varying level of comfort on our trip. All the family live/cook/manage the premises & guests are accomodated in nearby thatch cabins. At Hungs we found a thriving tourism enterprise centred around the floating market tours & visitors. The cabins are VERY basic but adequate. With...

If you fancy a more unique overnight experience than any hotel can offer and at a much cheaper rate, Hung's homestay might be for you. You'll be sleeping in a riverside bamboo hut, with just the bare necessities. So no wifi or aircon here. Be prepared to encounter local wildlife too, as you're really out in the sticks! Which also...

Through our tour TNK, to the Mekong Delta, we were able book a home stay. We were dropped off by our coach and had a boat ride down the river to a place with cute huts lining the river bank. We were shown to our rooms - 3 rooms, 2 doubles and a family room for our 4 boys. We...

We stayed here as part of a 2 day Mekong Delta tour. I was expecting an authentic Vietnamese home stay and was looking forward to interacting with this family over dinner. None of that happened! It was a good dinner but don't expect the family to interact with you more than asking you for your passport and showing you how...

Hung and his family were very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and the surroundings were very lush and peaceful - no cars. On a short walk around the village we saw very traditional Vietnamese living with families all happy and always outside their homes.

We had a great time with Hung and his family. The rooms were lovely and on the river. The dinner was beautiful and a lot of fun and laughter with the other guests and Hung's family. An enjoyable trip down the river in the morning from the homestay

Mr Hung is an excellent host, providing beautiful waterside bungalows and delicious food after a long day exploring the Mekong. Although the path getting there is a bit dark, he made sure our we got there safe. Mosquito nets kept any bugs at bay, too. Watch out for the rice wine!

Holy cow! What a dinner they give at Hung's Homestay. The portions are ridiculous, and the food is all fresh. We were served chicken, fish, vegetables, rice, noodles, tofu, fruits. It was incredible. We also made our own fried spring rolls. Oh and "happy water" - some sort of local booze Great deal for the money. The river tour was...

Stayed here as part of a 3 day tour of the Mekong delta, we stayed here one night. In one of the rooms with a river view. The room was basic but clean. Dinner was delicious and we made our own Spring rolls! Breakfast was simple bread, cheese, jam, tea and coffee. Staff were lovely
