Having stayed in Mombasa for a few nights, decided to break our journey back to Nairobi. Having never visited the East side of Tsavo was quite shocking to see the plains so dry and hardly any animals in site - while driving towards the Lodge. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and ever keen on assisting you. The... More

We arrived at Ashnil for lunch from Amboseli. The hotel staff were excellent, nothing was too much bother and everyone wore a smile. Our rooms 215/216 overlooked water hole 3 and this was spectacular for watching the animals gather at the hole to drink and wash. At night a floodlight was on and this enabled you to view them in... We slept in one of the built rooms. Very nice and well prepared. They overlook a waterhole but ours was a bit too much to the side to see it. Food was great and the breeze you get in the bar is sooo relaxing. We slept very well there. Wifi in the bar area. A member of staff came to... More

After a long drive in high temperatures on dusty roads from the coast and a short game drive we arrived at Ashnil around 1 oclock in the afternoon in time for lunch . We were greeted with a cool refreshing drink and a welcome flannel before check in and lunch . We found the rooms , though basic to be... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this place whilst visiting the East Tsavo Park. The place is simple but very neat, clean and comfortable. The food is good. The staff go out of their way to help you. The property has a waterhole in front which attracts plenty of wildlife. We saw a few lionesses kill a zebra right in... More

Visited this place in 2014 , So far we have been to Ashnil in Mara and Samburu. Like all of them. Liked the luxury tent feel , the exterior is made of canvas but the interior is luxury wooden floor. The location by the river side of the lodge is interesting. You can expect elephants to come by the river... More

Our trip to Ashnil aruba was amazing. I would recommend entering from the Bachuma Gate if coming from Mombasa. Do note that the Bachuma gate is not well sign posted as the new Standard Gauge Railway has hidden the entrance. It is just at the end of the third Diversion along Taru Diversion before you exit the third diversion. Ensure... More

Such a special stay here. You are made to feel so welcome every minute that you're here by wonderful staff in such a beautiful setting. I travelled alone in a wheelchair and was looked after so well by everyone, but especially Joan. The atmosphere is calm and quiet and the hotel itself clean, smart and in beautiful grounds. The food... More

We stayed there for one night as part of a two-day safari in Tsavo East National Park. Rooms are well appointed with a little balcony at the back featuring a view of the waterhole - a nice place to sit and relax at sunset. The swimming pool definitely provided a welcome break; lunch and dinner buffets were very decent and... More
