"Another day in Paradise" -- their slogan aptly describes the daily experience at Bagus Place. The scenery is breathtaking, the staff is very nice and helpful. The food is delicious and the cuisine is local. Not a fan of sea food or meat? The team will inquire about your dietary wishes and plan accordingly. Nature lovers will find wild life... More

Tioman is a great island with plenty of resorts to choose from, but if you really want to relax and have a care-free holiday, Bagus is the place to be! The complete resort has this “chill-relaxed-vibe” going on and it’s impossible not to catch this vibe the minute you set foot on the great jetty. Don’t expect 5 star luxury... More

We had four nights at Bagus Place and it was fabulous. As a family of four we had the 'Big Chief' hut which had a large living area, a huge twin room with a large bathroom and a smaller double with its own bathroom. So as usual the kids got the bigger room which pleased them! The aircon was effective... More

I came here to celebrate my fiance's 31st birthday and the trip was nothing short of amazing! From start to end, every single staff member was friendly and helpful, service was fantastic. The resort was gorgeous, surrounded by clear blue-green ocean, amidst a backdrop of lush greenery and mountain tops. Tons of blacktip reef sharks swim along the jetty, but... More

I last visited Bagus Place in 2012. Four years later, I decided to return to Bagus Place with my fiancee and I'm happy to say that it is still my favourite island retreat. The resort is well maintained, white sands and is crystal clear sea water. The corals are healthy and that there is plenty of fish swimming about (saw... More

Tioman Island- 5 stars Staff- 5 stars Accommodations- 3 stars Food- 2 stars The staff were delightful, but honestly, based on the Trip Advisor reviews, we were a bit surprised with the quality of our room and the food. Limited options regarding menu. They ran out of important items and were strict with meal times. The quality of the food... More

Our group of 4 adult family members stayed for 3 nights. This is a wonderful spot--the waterfront was clean and free of debris, as was the resort and chalets; most of the chalets are hidden in the forest, so they are shaded--some are close to the water; they are made of dark wood and have a local ambiance; some are... The most beautiful spot on the fantastic Tioman island with very friendly staff. We loved everything with our five nights stay at Bagus and would recommend it to everyone! Cosy and comfortable bungalows, funny monkeys, perfect snorkeling from the jetty, fascinating shark feeding at night, solitude and relaxing atmosphere etc. etc.

"Picturesque, all the more so with the majestic Twin Peak mountains in the background. Back to nature. Charming. And crystal clear water where one can see the soft corals and marine life from the jetty; we saw baby black tip sharks, a turtle and some stingrays. Beautiful sunset from the bar area. The staff were very friendly and helpful; always... More

The staff are helpful , the bungalows are great, the snorkeling is Ok and the peace and tranquility is guaranteed. I found the food to be of good Malay standard and enjoyed the restaurants beachside location. On the downside Bagus has no pool.. Not a major problem but if you expect a 5 star resort this is not for you.... More
