Found this place after leaving early a big hotel we found to be a little unclean and overpriced. Christina's house, though further from the beach, was much nicer for a lower price. Although we didn't meet Christina, the host welcomed us into the simple but stylish and well-kept home. We had some nice chit-chat with the host, who connected us with friends of hers when we mentioned that we were looking for a ride to Chefchouen the next day (they did charge us a couple hundred Dirham). Breakfast was especially great. We would definitely return if in Asilah again.
The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the medina and its location is nice as it is apart from all the noise of the market. All the taxi drivers know it, so if you are taking a cab it will be easy to get there just by saying its name. The guest house's rooms are very nice, bright and clean. There is a terrace in the rooftop with sunbeds and sofas in the corners. You can tell that they pay special attention to detail and it has a lot of character - very beautiful! The breakfast was included so we enjoyed the home-made dishes they prepared for us, sometimes it was Moroccan and some others omelette and pastries. We wanted to give a special thank you to the Salah and Melissa (I think these were their names) as they were very kind providing us with useful information and advice. If we go back to Assilah we will definitely book Christina's House!…
Very friendly host. Heater and blankets provided. Warm and well decorated house. Allowed us to leave our baggages in the hotel while we visited the medina. The breakfast provided hot tea, coffee, and milk.
Christina's House and its landlord are laid back, friendly and despite having lots to offer unpretentious as well. The last thing he told us was "you will be back" - undoubtedly he is right and if you feel like having a holiday experience taking the coziness of Morocco one step further then... See you there!
We can highly recommend a stay at Christina's House. It is a charming guest house, very beautifully decorated with nice, big and bright rooms. The terrace is cozy and also beautifully decorated, a perfect place to relax. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was tasty. We felt welcomed at all time.
