We were a group of friends, 12 in total. When the camels brought us to the Mirage camp after watching an awesome sunset on the dunes, temperature dropped, wind inside Sahara became chilly...then we suddenly saw a beautiful scene in front of us. Like fairy tale, there was a lovely campsite with pretty tents ,two rows of white lantern giving light and warmth in the darkness.
Sweet hot mint tea, delicious nuts, smiling faces of the staff plus their cheeful "Merhaba! Welcome!" we had the best start of a night in the desert.
Super clean tents, nice big bed, good dinner, all perfect! The vegetable of dinner were organic, the owner Youssef planted them.
Campfire and drums, all the staff wearing colorful turbant and long djelaba, made each of us came out to dance. Lots of laughter!
Then a hot shower before sleep, the bed was so comfortable, even much better than some hotels and riads in the cities!
When we heard a knock on the door, me and my roommate put on jackets and scarfs to go out of our tent. 2 minutes away, we were standing on a small dunes near the Mirage camp.
" Oh my god, oh my god!" I heard my friend repeated in a whispering voice," sun rise in Sahara, how beautiful..."
An impeccable experience. Worth travel to here from far.

We spent one night in Mirage Luxury Camp last month. our stay was perfect. The tents were comfortable with a well-equipped bathroom and heater. The after dinner entertainment was fun especially for the younger tourists there. 8 people in the camp that night and Ibrahim and his team did a fine job of entertaining us. However, the treat that needs to be mentioned is the dinner. It was a superb 4 course dinner, with a twist to traditional Moroccan cuisine. The pumpkin soup, grilled vegetable in a tangine, grilled turkey as the main course and melon with sweet cheese and roasted argan almond were truly a culinary experience. It was good to see that the site was eco-friendly and used solar panels rather than generators as some of the other camps do. All in all, a wonderful experience of watching the sunset and sun rie on the Sahara dunes.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the camp booked by RoughTours company and it was truly amazing! Camel rides are provided for every sunrise and sunset in order to reach the tops of the dunes. The meals provided were delicious and everyone was so accommodating. Every evening there is a big bonfire and stargazing. The tents are very comfortable and have electricity for charging phones, heater along with working toilets, sinks, and showers. It was a truly memorable experience.

We stayed at the Mirage Luxury Desert Camp for 1 night, but wished that we would have stayed for 2 nights. Everything about our stay was perfect. We started our trip to the desert camp on a 1.5 hour camel ride from Merzouga. The camels were very gentle and well cared for. Crossing the dunes were spectacular. My family loved it. When we arrived at the desert camp we were greeted by Ibrahim. Ibrahim was very kind and welcoming. He took us to the dining tent and gave us tea, water, and snacks. He told us about the camp and the schedule for dinner then showed us our tent. The tent was quite large and had running water with a shower, sink, and toilet. Dinner was fantastic with a vegetable salad, cheese tagine, and chicken with vegetables. Everything was delicious. After dinner the camp staff played drums for us, showed us how to play the drums, and danced. We had a fun time. The following morning, my son loved playing in the sand and had a blast running down the dunes. Ibrahim also took him on a short 4WD ride over the sand dunes. He loved it. We had the option to take a car back to Merzouga or ride the camels. We decided to ride the camels. Along the way back to Merzouga, the camel guides picked up trash left by other people along the way. I was very happy to see that they cared about keeping the desert clean. I wish that others would do the same. After being in the desert, we would have really liked to stay an additional night. We were on a tour and our schedule was set, but hopefully we’ll be able to visit again.

The service of this camp was comparable to 5-star hotels anywhere in the world, if not better. After a long, hot, humid day in the desert, we arrived at this luxury camp in the grandest manner, on the back of the camels in beautiful sunset! The camp arranged the very experienced camel master, Mr Brahim to lead us through the best spots for capturing sunset photos, to sit on the still hot sand savouring the beautiful moment with friends, to navigate the undulating sand dunes in the most gentle route. Thanks to Mr Brahim, I have the most beautiful postcard perfect picture for my phone wallpaper. We were all exhausted, hungry, thirsty and dirty when we arrived at the camp at 9:30 pm. But we were greeted with the biggest smile and passionate welcome of Mr Ibrahim. Even prior to a lovely hot shower, our fatigue was already washed away. The rooms in this camp have everything we need from any hotels in the city. Electric sockets, wifi, hot water, bathroom. The bedsheet was crisp and clean which is rather difficult to upkeep with frequent sand storms in the desert. We took 1/2 hour refreshment time before we enjoyed dinner at 10 pm. As I am on special gluten and dairy free diet, Ibrahim was so helpful to communicate with the talented chef to specially adjusted his menu to cater my needs on the spot. We are all extremely impressed with the cold soup made with cucumber and melon. It was so refreshing that I requested a second helping. The food was so impressive that it has become one of the best highlight of our desert trip. Thanks to Hassan, the chef, to spoil our palette. If you ever visit the Sahara, I highly recommend this camp.

Words cannot fully capture the experience of staying at the mirage luxury camp. We visited with our 3 teen sons (15,13,12) who had the experience of a lifetime. The food was fresh, local and plentiful. Each tent was furnished with cozy beds, flush toilets, hot showers and beautiful Moroccan decor…even heaters if you needed them! Watching the sunrise over the Sahara was spectacular. Perhaps the most magnificent part of the experience was the people! From the moment you are greeted on arrival, the staff welcome you like an honored guest arriving into their home. Knowledgeable in so many languages, sharing their culture, traditions, history and unmatchable Moroccan kindness…it was truly an experience of a lifetime for our family!

My friends and I had a very lovely stay at Mirage camp, including the best food during our one-week-tour in the south of Morocco! We arrived quite late that evening, I thought our dinner time was much later than regular, but Ibrahim the young staff and Hassan the chef told us not to worry but to enjoy a relaxing shower before it. That was luxury, nothing could be better than a nice hot shower after the camel ride! ( And I must say, the way along the sand dunes to the camp was one of the most beautiful route I've ever had in many years. ) The dinner was incredibly delicious , we ate slow with stars upon our heads, the evening finally ended with drums and songs by the fire, all was perfect! And one more thing I liked a lot was the
wifi working well in my tent.

It did seem strange to be able to plug your USB into the tent wall but hey, this is glamping rather than camping! The tent had everything - real beds with comfortable mattresses, a real toilet and shower, plenty of room to move around and of course, the aforementioned electrical outlets. We arrived by camel after about a 90 minute journey through the dunes and were welcomed with the traditional Moroccan tea and snacks. Dinner was served in the dining tent and the food was delicious. After dinner we were invited to sit around a campfire and the staff entertained us with Moroccan music and singing. Very atmospheric. All the stars came out to guide us back to our tents and we all slept soundly. The following day we had the option to return via camel or return via vehicle along a sort of dune road. We all opted for the vehicle cos we are not exactly spring chickens and one camel ride was enough😁. But the entire outing was hugely enjoyable and the staff at the camp were superb

We had the chance to get a one week vacation so as to visit our friends in Morocco. We were lucky because our tour company saved us too much time planning for this last minute booking. Our focus at that period of time was to spend the whole week in the desert to experience the most of it. The team at mirage camp did their best to accommodate us and they succeeded proving they are the best in the area. Everything was well equipped and served and the most thing that attracted my attention was the food ‘ Amazing and delicious ‘’. Most of their veggies are produced in their garden just next to the camp.
Thank you Mirage for the best stay.

One of our college students organised a trip to this beautiful camp, where we were 40 students enjoying an amazing stay at it. Stargazing and hiking were one of the funnest activities we had not to mention the other moments we were lucky to experience. We should also acknowledge the great meals served by the hostesses who managed to give us their best when it came to serving us food. The rooms were well equipped, comfy and luxurious as promised. I highly recommend giving this beautiful experience a try and i guarantee that i wouldn’t regret it.
