Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality, you are professional. The Riad creates a beautiful real Moroccan atmosphere, the staff pays great attention to the guests ’oats, very clean and high class. The panorama is incredible, next to the sand dunes and the calm humpback camels it was a feast for the sense all time that we spent here. We recomand it!!!! Five stars.

Luxury Dar Morocco was absolutely stunning views from the roof, especially during sunset time. The rooms are very comfortable, with a cultural style that makes you feel like you are in one of the local houses. very nice restaurant in the terrace for dinner and breakfast, featuring some excellent traditional dishes. The location is very nice, even though we couldn't explore the city too much. We really enjoyed our stay here

We stayed with Ahmed in his Riad the first night at the edge of the desert and then in the tents in the sand after a long camel trek the following day. Ahmed day with us for tea immediately upon arrival and was a joy to talk to a about life and hear the story of how he got there. His dinner and breakfast was some of the best we had in Morocco! We got ENGAGED in the desert the following night! Ahmed was in on it and was so kind to send a few surprises out to our tent to celebrate with the desert hosts! Practically the Riad has everything you need: hot water, heating, cooling, parking, outlets and a gorgeous terrace to catch the sunrise/sunset. His place is a great way to experience the closest thing to their way of life in the town and he will set up everything for your camel desert trek. His kindness and generosity will be remembered forever!

If you visiting Merzouga than best place to stay is Ahmed’s house Chez Les Habitants. Ahmed went out of his way to make my Merzouga experience memorable one . Every thing was organised so well. His house is beautiful. The camp in desert was all well organised and had best night in desert with some delicious food and music. His Guide Mustafa is brilliant. Next day we went to visit around Merzouga and Ahmed took me to see amazing places around Merzouga . Ahmed is well informed. He never rushed for any thing and gave me enough time to enjoy every place . It was such an enjoyable day. He even arranged a local head scarf and dress for me to wear. Ahmed is a wonderful person. I had very interesting discussion with him about how life was in Merzouga and how things have change for good and bad. I can’t fault any thing during my stay at Chez les habitant and choosing to stay here was best decision of my entire Morocco trip . If you visit Merzouga than must stay here . Ahmed , Thank you very much for every thing .

I have found this place on the internet and the reviews made me book instantly. It was the best choice of our holiday in Morocco. Even before our stay, I had a lot of questions and they were really helpful and responsive. The hotel itself is great, nice rooms, special architecture (you have a nice, local experience), clean rooms, excellent food and service. The whole desert trip the day after was fully organized, the desert camp and the village where we had lunch was just perfect. It is truly an experience we will never forget. We also got a nice henna before we left:) Thank you for the great holiday!

If you are looking for a “westernized” stay in Merzouga look elsewhere...this is the real deal! Our overnight stay prior to traveling via camel to overnight in a Berber tent (Amed arranged this as well) was an amazing way to celebrate my 65th birthday! The accommodations are basic and clean and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay-and we were able to shower once we returned from our desert experience before traveling onward. When we arrived my husband was experiencing stomach issues most likely from food in Fez- Amed was wonderful and very caring to assure his comfort (and relief). Amed was a jewel - dinner the night we arrived (prepared and served by his sisters who were also welcoming and lovely) was delicious as we dined on the rooftop terrace under the stars. We loved discussing his life and dreams and sharing and comparing our different cultures. Armed and family, thank you for an amazing experience that we will never forget. We wish you a long and healthy life.
