Hotel built with traditional desert materials, ecological, with spacious rooms simply decorated. Pleasant and clean swimming pool. Staff polite, available, and professional. Hotel owned by Françoise a charming and attentive manager (natural of France). Dine in the courtyard with the sky full of stars, eating excellent Moroccan food is a fantastic experience. Breakfast is good and varied. Excellent location near... More

At this point, worlds away — hours of backbreaking driving or riding across this rugged Kingdom –you will need a day to yourself. Sure you may be eager to hit the ole’ dusty camel trek but you don’t want to find yourself in that position after such a damn aching ten-hour drive. The cure? Spend a night or two at... More

Stayed here the first time in 2002, when it was good. The hotel has been completely rebuilt about 8 years ago (after floods), and now it is excellent, with spacious stylish common areas and a restaurant. We had a large family room (double bed + single bed) with air-conditioning (unnecessary in April) for two nights. Great breakfast, good dinner (included... More

I have spent new year's eve with a group of friends at Ksar Sania and it was simply marvelous! Francoise and her staff is very friendly and did everything to organize an outstanding stay at their Auberge! It's located practically in the dunes of Merzouga and even in winter the rooms were well heated. The food is great and each... More

We stayed here for years now. The owner Françoise is a great host, always taking care of all our needs. Usually we get here after a big trip from Meknès or a shorter one from Tinghir. But we know that we will have a great meal, breakfast and comfortable room. It´s a “oasis” of comfort in the desert. From there... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights in late June - can't imagine a better place in Merzouga. There's a laid back desert vibe here, and real atmosphere. Francoise is a great host, full of stories and very chatty and the rooms were beautiful and very clean. The food was also good, and our night camping trip in the... More

We stayed with Ksar Sania and organized our camel trek with them. It was very quiet because Ramadan had just started but we were very welcomed at the hotel. We stayed in one of the AC rooms because it was sooo hot while we were there (45˚ or so.) The pool was very clean and refreshing and the dinner was... More

Whilst in morocco a trip to the Sahara was near the top of my to do list, relying on the lonely planet guide we decided to stay here as it was highly recommended. The owner met us when our bus arrived and drove us the the riad which is a little drive away from the town. Ksar sania is surrounded... More

Location is stunning and really typical. Although the Auberge is a fully eco-compatible building it is also a very comfortable and affordable accomodation for european standards. Rooms and common spaces are clean (at least as best as they can be, just in front of the Sahara desert) and quiet. The staff is always around, but they're very discrete and ready... More

The location couldn't be better: outside of the over developed core of Merzouga and Hassilabad but so close to the giant dunes we could walk to them from our room and still near to an asphalted road to head out further afield. The staff (Francoise and an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable young man named Zuhair) can organize excursions into the... More
