It's a long trip down southeast in Morocco to get to Zagora and once we did get there our first question was why did we bother. We had our Dune experience to Erg Chebbi from Erfoud the next day so we did not need a desert excursion from here. The hotel was wanting. Admittedly we were there during Ramadon and...

Zagora is a modern south Maroccan town and Riad Salam is situared near the centre. But inside the Riad is a calm atmosphere,a beautiful en trance lobbyhall, a nice garden and a big swimming pool. Rooms have very good beds (zo important!) and the breakfast-buffet offers a lot of tasty food for the traveller. Their coffee was of the best...

A grand entrance but a little disappointing once inside. The rooms are basic and need some TLC. There is a bar (a little seedy with odd local characters hanging around but an essential for me). Food is fine, breakfast a little stingy but fairly standard for Morocco. It's a good base from which to plan an excursion to the desert...

The hotel is very nice. You walk in to a lovely court yard (free wifi) and cross the lovely outdoor pool to get to your rooms. Just a note- when in the atrium, don't fall in the pond. The rooms are spacious and have ensuites. The television has two charming arabic channels and the windows have fly nets. The pool...

We drove across southern Morocco and the experience of this hotel was the worst. Rooms are spacious but very dark. Just outside the window was a wall behind the main road. I slept badly, but my wife could not sleep all night. Breakfast was not bad, but in this hotel ever again will not go.

Very grand lobby, with WiFi in the entrance area. The service was good, the food at dinner so-so, good breakfast with freshly squeezed juice. The room has not been vacuumed for a while, but the sheets were clean. Some dirty glasses in the wardrobe.

Like one of the other reviews I found this hotel strange. I went with a group of 16 who were travelling across Morocco in Landrovers and this hotel was a weird experience. I think we were the only people in the hotel. It was very big and it did seem some refurbishment was going on in half of it. The...

I'm fairly certain we were the only people staying at this hotel which was really bizarre. The building had the feel of an old hospital or school, although the pool in the courtyard was really nice. There was a leak in the bathroom which meant every time we used the slightest amount of water the floor was covered, there was...

We stayed here over Christmas so we could visit the dunes at Tinfou. The Hotel is clean but a bit faded - sheets on the grey side. The breakfast was average - standard fair but with watered down orange juice. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful - others were a bit surly. The official hotel tour guide -...

“If the aircon doesn't work, there is a master switch in the hallway by your door. Turn it off then on again. If the bathroom door opens by its self, just ram it shut. If the lock falls off your door, you can jam it back on. Don't choose room 212. Everything is broken”
