This spot was booked for me by a guide, and it was amazing. It's way out on the road around Volcan Maderas, after the pavement ends. Rough road. You'll need a high clearance or 4WD vehicle, especially if it rains. Off road moto, bike, or horse will also work. The drive is great. It's located in Merida, a very small...

The sunset at la omaja is probably the best we have ever seen anywhere. The pool is a good place to spend the day and the staff is really friendly. They can arrange a lot of tours and taxi drives. The lodges are clean and the beds are the best we had so far in Nicaragua. The lodges have a...

First off we love that it was a small hotel! Quiet and quant, have the amenities basically to yourself, awesome. The view is spectacular! It overlooks Lake Nicaragua and Concepcion...

We loved la Omaja! We spent three nights there for our honeymoon and the hotel staff made it really special for us and even put flowers in our room and served some yummy brownies. Darwin and Horacio and everyone were so friendly. Example: we were afraid of some bugs and they went the extra effort to explain that some bugs...

If you're looking to stay anywhere on Omatepe....look no further. The rooms are great, location is about 1 hour beautiful drive from the port (cost of $10 per person). The food here is great and reasonably priced......but the main reason to stay if the infinity pool and the incredible sunset. Where else in the world can you be chilling in...

The pool and view may have been why I chose to book this place over the others, but it was definitely more than worth it! In addition they also had some great food, with a menu that changed. Staff were super friendly, owner very helpful and knowledgeable about the island. Staying on the Maderas side of the island is also...

I agree with past reviews- the pool should be featured as an island destination! Hotel omaja has everything you could need or want for your stay on ometepe island. It is located close to ojo de agua, san ramone waterfall hike, and kayaking on the river. They will even transport you to these locations for free I believe. The cabanas...

We stayed at the La Omaja hotel for 2 nights. The location is beautiful, the hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner of the island so makes for a peaceful escape. Would highly recommend and make sure you witness the sunset.
