Nice place to stay the night before visiting machu Picchu. It is situated 20m from the bus pickup location. Simple but nice breakfast is served from 4am to 7.30 am. The main downside is the rooms on the road and river side of the building are noisy due to the river cascading such may make it difficult to sleep for... More

Since most people only spend a night in Aguas Calientes, this hostel may do the job. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we first arrived. The man gave us very clear directions for getting to Machu Picchu and the breakfast/checkout schedule. The breakfast was adequate - bread and jam with fresh juice. Since Machu Picchu is generally a... More

We got a 4th floor room on the river side and we loved it! The water is quite loud so if you're a light sleeper, ask for the opposite side. Beds are comfy and we really enjoyed the view. This hostal is close to both the train station (just across the bridge) and the bus station/main square; we couldn't have... More

Assuming you're staying here before Machu Pichu, this place has everything you need and it's inexpensive. The whole town had a power outage while we were there so it was a little dark! This place is as advertised...no frills, but you get a comfy bed, friendly service and it couldn't be in a better location. It's hard work but walk... More

Very clean, accommodating staff and a family owned hostel with fresh bread n juices for breakfast in Agua Callientes Peru will make you love this hostel. One of their staffs will be meeting n welcoming you at the Perurail station. Most of them speak a broken English but good enough for us to understand. One of our friends forgot to... More

We were going to be in Aguas Calientes (the base for Machu Picchu) for just one night and were not looking for something extraordinary, but just an affordable, basic place in a good location. Varayoc is just that. This is a no-frills place that is clean. There was an attached private bathroom with our room, which wasn't high class but... More

Nice place to stay overnight for your early morning trip to Macchu Picchu. The hotel is located literally a couple of mins from the station. Most people will arrive by train and the owner waited for us at the train station to pick us up. Breakfast starts at 4.30am. Bus station to go to macchu picchu is right outside the... More

Take the ARCHED bridge from the train station and you are there. Look down to your left as you are on the bridge and you will see the hostel. Clean rooms, nice staff and breakfast starts at 4:30 for your early trip to Machu Picchu. If you are not getting up super early, ask for a room off the street... More

This isn't a fancy place, but great advice and brilliant location for the early start to get to Machu Picchu for sun rise. The room was clean and certainly big enough for me, but not spacious...fabulous hot water showers. Wifi was strong most of the time. The 5th floor for breakie was great as it looks directly down on the... More
