We were wary about our stay at Jaya Machu Picchu because we didn't choose this hotel. Our Viator tour included an overnight stay and we didn't find out what hotel until the night before. We knew that Aguas Calientes was small and so we anticipated we might land in the equivalent of a Motel 6. Holy cow, were were wrong! This hotel is small, yes, but wonderfully appointed! The room was huge and beautiful. There was a two-person jetted tub in our room that we, sadly, didn't get a chance to use but looked very inviting. Every staff member we interacted with was warm and helpful. The hotel is situated right up the main walkway along the waterfall and we couldn't have asked for a better location. Absolutely great! Breakfast was included (and very good) and we loved the fact that the hotel held onto some of our belongings for us while we trekked Machu Picchu. There are a lot of stray dogs in Aguas Calientes (and Cusco) and it was so cute to see one curled up on the welcome mat outside our hotel's front door. Adorable.

The hotel has extremely luxurious rooms and the hotel staff were very nice. The breakfast was good. It is served on the top floor of the hotel, which provides you with a nice view of the entire town. Although the town itself is quite small, the hotel is in the perfect location very close to the train station. The rooms have a big shower and a bath. They are probably more suited towards couples because the bath is in the middle of the room and the shower is quite open.

We had a King bed suite on 4th floor that overlooked the river, mountains and buildings across river. The suite is large with separate WC and shower. Sink and a jet tub are at end of room.
Very comfortable bed and the room was very clean. You can flush toilet paper - not always possible in hotels. Windows double glazed and room was very quiet.
Breakfast is good and they will cook eggs based on your preference.
Staff speak English and are friendly and helpful.
No restaurant for dinner but plenty of options nearby.

The service at check in and check out was very friendly and efficient. They allowed a several hour late checkout for a nominal fee which was great as we had time to explore the city while we waited for our afternoon train back towards Cusco. The breakfast is an awesome cooked to order breakfast with to die for Peruvian coffee. Room was very spacious with a separate walk in shower and toilet area along with a jacuzzi tub in the room. View from the room was amazing as well. Very centrally located so that you may easily walk to any restaurant, bus station, train station or anywhere you need to go in this town. Would love to go back and would definitely stay here again!

Jaya hotel is in a really central location, the rooms are very comfortable and stylish (the showers are especially wonderful with a rain style shower head), and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Victor always has a smile on his face and is so happy to help with local recommendations, super speedy laundry services, and help with general questions. Victor is so friendly and happy - he really makes the experience extra wonderful.

The Jaya Machu Pichu hotel was an excellent place to stay, the rooms were large and modern with wonderful hot showers. The breakfast options were the best in Peru: made to order eggs/omelets, and buffet of meat & cheeses, breads & cereals, and freshly blended fruit drinks. I would like to acknowledge the excellent level of customer service and care provided by the manager Angela and her staff during our stay. Our group was stranded in Machu Pichu during the Cusco protests and they accommodated minute by minute itinerary changes. We ended up staying three extra nights. During that time the hotel coordinated daily laundry, suggestions on where to purchase essential items, and provided sack lunches at 4:30 am for our 29km hike to Ollantaytambo. Their care and concern for our personal safety and well being was like none other.

The Jaya hotel is lovely. It's right in the heart of Aguas Caliente. The rooms are clean and the front desk staff are very knowledgeable/friendly/English speaking. They also have free water/tea in the lobby and water kettles in your rooms. The shower worked great, which we needed after a long train ride! ha ha

They also did a bunch of laundry for us with a 3/4 hour turn around, and it was sparkling clean! Would definitely stay here again.

The property is located in the center of aguas calientes just across from the bridge and walking distance to everything. The staff are super nice and friendly, the rooms are exactly what you see on the pictures, very spacious, clean, modern and well maintained. The breakfast area is located on the rooftop were you can enjoy a beautiful view while having a delicious breakfast. I’ll definitely go back to this property. Thank you to the guy at the front desk doing the night shift, you are so nice and friendly, it was a pleasure meeting you. Same thing to the entire staff, you were so welcoming and friendly, thank you for everything!

What a wonderful place to stay in Aguas Calientes, which itself is a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring Machu Picchu.

2 nights in Jaya Machu Picchu were a truly relaxing experience, with an indulgent spa located in the room, a huge comfortable bed and the sound of the river gushing through town right outside the window.

Sebastián is a credit to the hotel. Working both the front desk check-in and the upstairs kitchen, he provided wonderful local insights to enhance our visit and recommended some of the tastiest food on our entire trip.

Overall, the hotel was great value, super clean and extremely well located. Will return / recommend with any hesitation.

Many thanks Sebastián!

It's just over the bridge across the river. You can see it from the hotel. If you were in a rush, you could get there in 2 minutes.
