Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don't know where to start. But for people reading this let me begin by saying that is quite cheap for the regular prices you'll get in town. Bear in mind that it is a very touristy place and they know it, so almost every venue charges heaps. Private rooms are pretty good and shared dorms are amazing. If you fancy some good food at decent prices this is your place, no joke. Restaurants around will charge you 60pen for an average meal, while here food is unbelievable for less than half the price, just ask for Raul and he will treat you well. Night Life? Got you covered. Just go upstairs and get Abel to make you the best cocktails in town, plus you get to play some tasty tunes and even make your own drinks! Overall, the whole vibe is amazing.

Artful and friendly hostel well-positioned in Aguascalientes. The staff was incredibly helpful and helped me navigate some issues with Inca Rail after a mudslide blocked the tracks. The rooftop bar is a great party spot or daytime hang if you’re looking to get some work done. Beds were comfy, too. This is where I’ll stay the next time I’m in town!

Serious safety incident
This hostel, upon first glance, is quite nice. The front desk manager is helpful and kind and the rooms are simple and clean. Unfortunately a very inappropriate thing happened to me at the bar which would not make me feel safe here as a solo female. I ordered a pizza and had a drink while waiting. I checked in on the pizza twice and was assured it was coming. While waiting, I was talking to the bartenders friend (NOT staying at the hostel- a local at the hostel bar). He became a bit touchy (hugging me) and I asked for space. After the third check in on my pizza I was informed that pizza was not an option anymore so I ordered a veggie burger and another drink. When my burger arrived, the bartenders friend reached over my shoulder and took my burger from my plate without asking and took a bite. He then placed his hands around my shoulders and asked me to come home with him. I became extremely frustrated and told him to respect me and give me space. He called me cold. The bartender observed this, and told me he would help me move my stuff to another table. I was very upset at the time and asked for my check. Now that I had time to process this, I am left to wonder- why did I, an actual guest of the hostel and the one feeling unsafe, have to move when the other person who was inappropriate and drunk was left to feel no guilt or consequence? As an older solo traveler, I know how to take care of myself but I worry that if my younger self had been at this hostel, it would have been much worse.
Oh and the veggie burger was stale and the happy hour awful.

Hostel didn’t put us in the room we had booked so the double bed was tiny for two people, especially since we are not in a relationship but they are lucky we both have a thin frame. The hostel was filthy, with dirty floors and dust and crumbs everywhere, torn carpets, cracked walls. It looks like its been opened mid way through renovations. The rooms seemed damp and had a damp smell. Shower was boiling and it was difficult to get it to remain at a stable temperature. The breakfast consisted of dirty mugs available to fill with tea or coffee and pre-made plates of toast and banana, lying out for the flies to get to for goodness knows how long, and we were offered for them to be heated in the microwave???? This hostel is disgusting, and has absolutely no standards, please don’t stay here- if it was in the US it would be shut down by health inspectors.

We stayed here for nights. I liked the price, but I feel it could have been better.
Pros:
1. Far enough from the train station to avoid noice.
2. Room and hostal is clean.
3. The stuff is very attentive and polite.
4. Price is great.

Cons:
1. No heating.
2. No real privacy; since the wall facing the outside are glass and the curtains are not big enough to block the view from surrounding building.
3. Cold air comes through at night because the glass doors and windows don't create a seal.
4. hotel staff won't provide an extra pillow; they very politely say: it's not available for you.

Not too far from central plaza but for sure a steep walk! Probably as high as you can get for a hostle here. I enjoyed the privacy each bed gets. I really didn’t like that the shower and toilet and practically in the room. It wasn’t very clean, dirt and things in corners and the bathrooms had no toilet paper/paper towels. Breakfast was good but small. Overall it got the job done but I didn’t love it.

The hostal was in an excellent location and had all the amenities you needed. The staff were excellent, especially Pepe who was extremely friendly and personable. The breakfast was plentiful and great for a day of hiking. We were able to leave our bags for the day while we hiked. We were also able to rest for a bit on the rooftop with Wifi before taking the train after a long day of hiking. My teenagers loved the atmosphere. 100% recommend to stay here.

Clean showers, bathroom, bedroom and a great bed. Nice group area with PC at your disposal and hot water/tea. Fast checkin and very helpful staff. Breakfast is simple but enough. There's a nice restaurant in the same building. Both are highly recommended!

Saludos

Hi! the cheapest way to book to transportation from Cuzco to here its by bus from cusco 7 hours to hidroelectric station and after that you have to walk 3 hours. (the total its around 40 soles) :)

Hello. It will take you an hour - hour and a half to the main gate. Depends on how fast you want to walk. You don't need to be there exactly on time. After 8 o'clock they let you in at any time. Just be punctual, if you have ticket to Montaña or Huayna.
