Gringo Bills is in an AMAZING location! We could see the main square from our room, and it was less than a minute walk to get there. A staff member picked us up from the train station and walked us to the hotel. Check in...More
Lovely hotel - great location, right off the square (which equals noisy until about 10 pm but that’s ok), wonderful breakfast, and all the extras. Our room was big and the bed was so comfortable. There are several areas for lounging, a book exchange, hot...More
Gringo Bill's offers a comfortable location for families or couples to stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. The employees were super helpful and allowed us to use their printer at no cost.
My wife and I booked this hotel for 2 nights while we were going up to Machu Picchu. This is a medium size hotel and our room was located up a fair bit of stairs (4-5 flights of stairs) not a big deal for us,...More

Gringo Bill's is just a short walk from the center of Aquas Calientes where the tour buses load for the trip to Machu Picchu. There are numerous food venues, shops with souvenirs, clothing, etc. in close proximity. The train station is fairly close as well.

We just stayed at Gringo Bill's a little over a month ago. I thought the place was very well run, the beds were comfortable and, as I said in my review, the best shower in Peru - plenty of hot water and good pressure. The food in the restaurant is quite good, as well.
I would say, if you choose Gringo Bill's, ask for a lower room just because you might not want to climb up all those stairs. Our room was on the 4th (?) or 5th (?) floor. Good luck.
