We stayed for one night as part of an organised group tour, specifically to visit Machu Picchu. The hotel is surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants, up a steep hill. There is a lift. The breakfast room is on the top floor with stunning mountain views. The breakfast was basic but adequate. The staff are friendly. There is a ground floor reception/seating area with tea making and luggage storage lockers. Our room on the 3rd floor overlooked a building site which you could possibly reach out to touch! We had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. Walking distance to the bus connection to Machu Picchu and the train station.

Comfortable rooms on about 8 half-levels. Down duvets, lots of windows, bath toiletries and hairdryers. Breakfast just OK. A little trouble w/ hot water and consistant water flow in shower, maybe because of top floor room.

The Inti-Inn is a 10-minute walk across the river and uphill from the train station. It is a reasonable distance if you have little luggage – otherwise, check it with the hotel representative who (like most hotels) meets the incoming trains. The hotel will also transport your luggage back to the train station for you.

The approach to the hotel from the main square is rather unattractive, as other reviews have mentioned, and this may be unnecessarily disconcerting. The hotel may have tried to remedy this recently by painting the raw concrete block that is so visible as you approach, which would be a good idea for many other buildings in Aguas Calientes to do as well. At any rate, from above and from the main street the hotel’s half-timbered and plastered facade give it a rustic charm which is carried nicely into the attractive lobby and common areas. It is a few blocks uphill from the main square, along the primary avenue that has many restaurants and shops.

The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful, and spoke good English.

Our room (#205) was good sized, with comfortable twin beds and a night stand in between them. Open shelves were provided for storage — there was no closet or other space fro hanging clothes except on the back of the door. The room was attractive with the plastered walls and contrasting dark rough-hewn beams. Our window overlooked a side street. Noise from the street and from the hotel hallway might be a problem for those who are sensitive. Other rooms might be quieter and have better views.

The attractively tiled bathroom was large and had recently been upgraded. There was adequate counter space adjacent the single sink. There was a large, tiled shower.

Breakfast buffet was in the cute hotel restaurant and was very good – fruit, juice, bread, cereal, yoghurt, eggs & meat.

All in all the Inti-Inn is a reasonable mid-range option for a night or two in Aguas Calientes (we spent two nights there). A couple of new hotels are being built on the edge of town along the road to Machu Picchu, and these are quite attractive with nice views of the river. Given the location and features, though, they are likely to be much more expensive than the Inti-Inn.

This Hotel was not centrally located, but in a location very accessible to the Train and Bus Stations, the Central Square, lots of Restaurants and the Market.

The rooms are nice and comfortable, and the Bathroom was clean with some nice products that are generally provided in better hotels.

The Breakfast Room on the 7th floor was spacious, and the food (ordered the night before) was freshly prepared and hot. We had great views of the mist on the surrounding mountains while we were having our early morning coffee.

What impressed us most was the Staff – Deybi, Adnemir, Anani and Wendei (My apologies if I have got the spellings wrong). They were particularly friendly, extremely helpful and very accommodating, and we cannot thank them enough for their caring attitudes and for going out of their way to make us feel welcome. When we called and informed them that we were running a little late returning from Machu Picchu, and to keep our stored luggage ready and waiting for us, they let us know that we can go straight to the Train Station, and two of them brought the luggage to us there, so we would not miss our train. We have never seen such service before. A sincere Thank You to all of them…!

We were only here for one night, but will recommend this hotel to all our friends who are planning a trip here soon.

Thank you for your review, TheExplorerFamily. We appreciate your feedback about the Hatun Inti Classic hotel. It's great to hear that the location was convenient for accessing transportation and attractions. The rooms and bathroom also met your expectations in terms of comfort and cleanliness. The breakfast room on the 7th floor sounds lovely, offering great views while enjoying your meal. It's even better to hear about the exceptional service you received from the staff, particularly Deybi, Adnemir, Anani, and Wendei. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We will make sure to pass along your thanks to them. We're glad you had a pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

Modern and clean hotel, with nice and helpful employees. Sophia and Rosa were great - thank you! The hotel is centrally located just up the hill, coming from the central place - and the rooms are appropriately sized and furnished, althought the bathroom is not to big. The breakfast in the 7th floor is good and the view is really nice.

Rooms were extremely clean and location was good, with many restaurants and the train station within walking distance of the hotel. It was a surprise find after a lacklustre experience at another hotel in Aguas Calientes. Service was excellent and the team was always willing to assist with our requests when we had to extend our stay due to the termination of the train services. Special thanks to Sophie, Rose, Anani, Tina and Sofia for their warm service!

We stayed in this hotel one night and that was enough. The rooms were damp and cold. The breakfast was poor. The views from the breakfast room were fantastic, but that was the only redeeming feature about this hotel. The wifi the rooms was also very poor. There are much better hotels in Aguas Calientes, so seek them out!

The staff were wonderful and the facilities were clean and neat. But the part I enjoyed the most were the grounds. The flowers, the trees, the pond, all of it was just plain beautiful. Add to that the gorgeous background of the surrounding landscape and one would simply wind up with an experience to be repeated. Would recommend or book it myself again in a heartbeat.
