Super comfortable beds and fantastic kitchen facilities. Booked a trip to the mountains here which was amazing! Juan and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful. One of the highlights of my travels!

Great Location just off of the main square in Huaraz. The rooftop view is breathtaking at night. Staff are more than happy to help with anything. Tours are a good price. WiFi is spread all over the large sprawling building. The kitchen is well equipped. Couldn't have been happier. Juan, Eduardo and Joseph were great company!

This hostel is great, lovely views from the roof, comfy cosy beds (really nice duvets). The shower is amazing, the best I have had since being in Peru! Although people are constantly waking up at 6am to go on various tours, theres nothing that can be done about this and it makes you feel less bad when it is your... More

Very comfy and cosy beds, perfect as it gets pretty cold at night. Dorms were good value. Breakfast included was simple but you could add eggs etc at small extra cost. Lockers for valuables in reception rather than in rooms but safe anyway. Friendly staff. Located a 5 min walk from the main square.

I stayed there 5 nights and was pretty sick most of the time unfortunately but Eduardo was very kind to me, asking how I was and chatting to me when I could get out of bed. Unfortunately he seems to be the one to be working in that place. The beds are comfy, the kitchen does the job and breakfast... More

Stayed at Hostal Alpes Huaraz for 5 days and it was not the best experience. First because the staff is not really helpful and arrogant. I can speak spanish very well and they were always speaking to me in english and I couldn't understand anything because of their bad accent. I asked for a hospital because my friend had altitud... We came here because Akilpo didn't have room for us and felt so lucky that it turned out that way. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was the best we had in Peru (hot water in abundance 24 hours), the breakfast was good, and for a couple Soles you could get eggs with it, which was great. The... More

This is an awesome place to stay with a great atmosphere! There were so many amazing things to rave about but I have to be honest the staff was what really made my stay memorable. Particularly Eduardo who will always have a place in my heart we basically became best friends and we shared so many memorable moments together. It... More

A mixed bag really. The hostel itself is lovely, coming with a good atmosphere and useful services (kitchen, tour bookings, breakfast included and bag storage). We were let down somewhat by the elder gentleman owner who was arguably slightly grumpy. The two managers are nice however and made our stay pleasant. Good location and good facilities.
