Very nice, nobly furnished hotel. We stayed for one night in the 5-star room. It is large, with a huge bed, a balcony overlooking a rose garden and a huge 4K Smart TV. The bathroom has a spacious rain shower and a Jacuzzi. The room - like the rest of the hotel - is very stylishly decorated and clean. The bed was so comfortable that we thought about asking where to buy the pillows. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is centrally located but quiet on a side street. The city centre is only a few minutes walk away. Villa Alice is highly recommended. We will be happy to come back.

The Villa Alice is a great choice in Suceava, ideal for exploring both the city and Bukovina. The villa is located on a secluded lane away from main road, ideal for an undisturbed night's sleep. My room had a large double bed and great en suite bathroom. The decoration was somewhat unusual french inspired but unoffensive. My only disappointment was the lack of breakfast - especially on the day excursion to the Painted Monasteries

The villa is very chic. Pleasant atmosphere, spacious and carefully arranged rooms. Delighted by the style of the furniture, and assorted bedding. The bathrooms are phenomenal. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi. And in the bedroom we had an extra wide TV. No problems regarding the internet connection. Welcoming, responsive staff. The location is central with parking.

A few years ago we discovered this quiet and lovely place. Recently we saw it again and we were impressed by some changes. We observed new fences, renewed and paved parking and renovated building. On the outside walls,we noticed a frame in the form of medieval window containing a mosaic inside which represents, according to the receptionist, the first exposition of the Tetraevangel of Humor in the mosaic on a building wall. On the wall of the reception, there also are three medallions representing the most important personalities that contribuited to the Great Union since 1918. Otherwise, the same beautiful and elegant place, with a lot of flowers, quiet and welcoming people. Whenever we will have the opportunity to return to the area,we will gladly stay to this wonderful place.

Horrible place we got a tiny room on the third floor no elevator rather difficult for mid ages most of the lamps didn’t function and above all when you want to take a shower at night you have or burning water or very cold water this after ten time of trail to have shower. The lady in the reception tried to fix it with no success although most of the hotel was empty she insisted on not changing the room to functional one so be aware

Response from villaalice, Manager at Villa Alice
Responded 24 Jun 2019
Dear Mr Dan Avidan, We regret to inform you, but your comment is not only malicious, but also completely false. You chose the room yourself looking at (seeing) the images from our online booking website, where there are pictures with each room separately. When you first checked-in you saw it again, as it were, concretely, on the spot. If it was not good, you could have refused it after viewing, but you didn't. Its size is neither bigger nor smaller, but consistent with the classification standards for its category. In the room there are no less than 10 (ten) light bulbs plus 3 (three) lamps. Three light bulbs were slightly unscrewed in the left and right bed lamps (perhaps the light was too strong). The most revolting situation is regarding the water of the shower. Regarding the operation of the hydro-massage shower cabin and the instructions for its use, absolutely everything is written in a booklet on the table, in Romanian and English. The receptionist showed you how the cabin works twice, the last time was with you 10 minutes, during which the water was kept warm and at a constant temperature. Accidentally, the receptionist forgot the phone camera open and recorded this moment that clearly shows that you are lying and also shows that you had completely abnormal behavior, threatening the receptionist that you call the police (because allegedly there was no constant warm water?!) when in fact this was exactly what it looked like for 10 minutes and it was constantly warm. So, there was no reason to change your room (after many hours of use) and you lie again anyway because there was only one free room left, which was already reserved. In the end, we remain with a doubt, either you really have not understood how a hydro-massage shower works, although you have been extensively (in full detail) explained twice, or you have prepared a slanderous set up (staging) beforehand, but we ask ourselves for what purpose, for whom, to whose gain? It would not hurt to investigate...

We stayed at the Villa Alice Hotel and found the staff and facilities excellent. Price was a little high but reasonably. Room was large, quite, and comfortable. Free wi-fi. There was a huge bathroom with large bathtub with water jets. We paid about $6 each for a buffet breakfast and it was decent but not a lot of selections. Location is downtown and walking distance of about 2 blocks to main bus station and 4 blocks to bus stop where you can catch bus #2 that goes to a huge Mall and on to the train station. If you arrive by train you can take Bus #2 to downtown. It’s about 3 miles.

Arrived by train from Cluj in to Suceava at 16:17 on 25th October. The station is north of the town - a 10 minute drive – so we got a taxi to the hotel. Booking was made directly with the hotel - Villa Alice, str. Simion Florea Marian - a 5 minute walk from the centre and the bus station, from where we were departing the following afternoon, en route to cross the border into Ukraine. This is a cosy and well appointed hotel with a large and comfortable bed in our room. They have a range of rooms in the hotel – from 3* to 5* - depending on size of room, bed and - it seems bathroom facilities. We were in a 4* room – which had a rather ‘complex’ (sophisticated) shower which looked to be capable of all sorts of magic. (This is a bit of a bete-noire with me : I don't much go for 'overly multi'-functional showers. To my mind, as long as they give you a good hot shower without too much complexity, I am happy - I'm not up for being 'terrorised' by bathing facilities. Heaven alone knows what the shower would do in the 5* room.) Breakfast was overseen by a very attentive lady who wanted to ensure we had everything we needed and was keen to ensure we understood how to avail ourselves of all that was on offer before she left for Church. Hot breakfast options were given to us as well as a giant plate of cheese and other items were also offered (it felt a little like an over-indulgent grandmother ensuring we had enough to eat). Very sweet, hospitable and unique. A lovely little hotel that they look to be expanding on and improving on - they seemed to be working on it very industriously (but all the while unobtrusively). It is in a good location close to the centre of the town. If visiting again, I would definitely stay.

Nice place! the bed surprised us, it's literally HUGE bed! The bathroom is very big too! The only problem was the brekfast...you have to pay extra 25ron/person and it's very poor. No offence, the condition are 5 stars but the brekfast 1 star. Maybe he can work at this point because the acomodation deserve 5 stars.
