Located opposite to the Budva Old city, Hotel Mogren cafeteria is one of the better cafés in Budva. Friendly staff, free wifi and big variety on cakes. Nice cafe to spend your evening. If you are visiting Budva, I highly recommend this place.

Old furniture, noisy refrigerator, you could hear water been discharge in the pipes over your head in the room. Slow and old elevator. Check out at 10. The only good thing is the location. Staff was friendly.

Very good location with a good price in stari grad(old city). Hotel and its facilities were old. The room was clean. Elevator was broken once day. Rooms had a great sea and old city view. Close to minibus station and 10 minutes walkt to bus station. The breakfeast was included in the room price.

Whilst on a brief visit, we sampled the very pleasant local Krstac wine sitting out on on the sun terrace overlooking one of the main gates to the old city walls. Very pleasant. Lovely service. Menu was very well priced. Hotel looked very nice.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It couldn't be more central, just steps to the old city walls, shops, restaurants, & a nearby beach. The breakfast buffet was also very good, with lots of selections. Wifi was not available in the rooms and wasn't even working properly in the lobby during my stay. Hopefully they'll work to... More

My room was spacious and had a view of the sea. Furniture was pretty dated but the bed was comfortable. Daily cleaning was very thorough. Wifi did not reach my room, but the signal was fine in the lobby and there are computers downstairs with internet access. Great location next to the old city and near beaches, but bar/restaurants right... More

We stopped at the outside restaurant of this hotel while on a private excursion from our cruise ship in Kotor. Our driver helped translate as the waiter didn't speak English. Service was slow, and some of the items on the menu were not available. 4 of us split a pizza which was just ok. There was a display case with... More

The hotel was centrally placed and I was lucky to get a room with a sea view. A friendly cafe downstars and an Intenet cafe. Outside that it was a simple hotel in all respects. Three stars at the most

Hotel Mogren's location is very good. It is near the sea and the old town. Hotels's breakfast is good enough, the waiter is very kind. Also the hotel's restaurant has very delicious meals. The only problem of the hotel for me, is the cold water. The water is not hot enough to take a good bath-shower.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Mogren is situated in the immediate vicinity of the Old Town's confining walls and is one of the oldest hotels in Budva. According to an ancient story, the name of the hotel is related to Mogren beach. After a severe naval fight sea has dropped a body of a lonely sailor, who survived the ship wrecking, right onto the palms of the pearl-like beach. His name was Mogren. As a sign of gratitude for the salvation, later on, he had built a church at the same beach and has dedicated it to St. Anthony, considered to be the patron of the poor and oppressed. Otherwise, hotel Mogren is widely known after its beautiful terrace, that looks towards the main square in front of the Old Town, where numerous manifestations, such as The Song of the Mediterranean,The Fish Festival, The Carnival, The New Year's Eve Celebration and many others have been traditionally organized and held. As an integral part of “Mercur System” company, hotel works continually whole year, ready to meet you and greet you with the traditional welcome of Montenegro. ... more   less
