Stayed here over Christmas after reading good reviews on Tripadvisor. If you just want a place to spend the night and use as a base to explore the region (Sigirya, Polonnaruwa), then this is not a good location. Even if you prefer to stay in Dambulla (where there's not much to see apart from the caves, that you can visit...

Stayed for three nights as part of a tour. The location is great, by a lake. The room we stayed was absolutely massive, so was the bathroom. But... worn out, safe not working, coffee facilities but no plug, and generally speaking the room in need of a freshening. The food was mediocre, specially from the older chef, and the breakfast...

Traveling to such an area means you must lower all your expectations; the hotel is decent to make you feel comfortable, with pretty clean rooms, hot water in the bathroom and beautiful surroundings. Its most important asset is the kind personnel. We are all the meals at the hotel, not bad at all.

Stayed for two nights with friends and their families. I can give 5 stars for its location. It was Beautiful, peaceful, and tranquilizing. Loved it. But the quality of the rooms and the service especially the management is below the average. We stayed in a super standard room, which was the best they offer. The room was big and spacious...

Went for a night and room was adequate for stay. Placed in room behind lake and in view of few other villas. Power cuts all through the night. Meals served at very strict times and not near much in the way of amenities around or nearby. This place does have a pool and large recreational area- tons of wildlife on...

We only stayed here for one night as we were on a tour but wished we stayed longer! On arrival the staff provided a wet flannel and a drink which was very much appreciated after a long and hot day! Staff helped carry our bags and there English is very good. Rooms were clean and had a mosquito net which...

It may not be 4 star but the accommodation was fine, the view over the lake and bird life was lovely. The pool was clean and refreshing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Food was tastey. I would recommend for the peacefulness, not many places are!

I chose to stay at this hotel as it's near a few of the attractions around Dambulla that I wanted to visit. I arrived at the hotel after a few hours on the road and received a very warm welcome from the owner. The hotel is situated in the countryside next to a lake, and has a really nice swimming...

The staff were friendly and helpful (esp the manager), rooms were comfy, food was excellent (both western and sri lankan) and it was in a peaceful though somewhat isolated location. We were also upgraded to a superior room with a better view of the lake. Was great value for money i would recommend.
