I spent 20 days in 7 different cities/towns across Sri Lanka, and stayed in higher end hotels in each. This was by far the worst experience of the 7. I'm starting with positives, as the hotel could have been worse. It's really a 3 star hotel charging 4 star pricing so I'm rating it so low. Pros: Clean rooms, few...

Stopped at Amaya Lake for lunch on our way to Pasikudah. A nice serene place with a lot of space and greenery. They offered either A la carte or buffet. The buffet was a reasonably good spread of local culinary. The A la carte took way too long to come by but the food was nice and palatable. The staff...

Its about 10kms from city centre so you have to depend on hotel supplies for everything.Location however great besides a lake. Bar & pool well located.I stayed in a Deluxe villa on 8th & 9Th january 17. Villa looks ok. Bath tub only for use in sitting posture-too small. Small insects can enter room and frustrate your night sleep SO...

We stayed at the Amaya Lake hotel for 2 nights as part of our tour of Sri Lanka---it wasn't long enough. The individual bungalows were spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The scenery around the lake was stunning and we both thoroughly enjoyed walking around the hotel grounds. We opted for the buffet meal in the evenings, the food was fabulous...

This hotel is situated on the shores of lake Kandalama, and is designed in a way that it fits perfectly with the nature around it. We did 6:30 AM yoga, one of the best experiences of our 14 day Sri lanka tour. Staff are nice, but very pushy for tips. Hotel facilities are very much nature oriented so do bring...

Great location with the view on the lake, superb park & amazing pool. I had a surprise cake and room decoration for my birthday - really nice surprise. We were in the chalet 1 - family of 4 and the room is quite small compared to the photos on the website and it needs to be refreshed. Massage at the...

Unhelpful illogical front desk management. Simple issue took an hour to resolve. In all my travel (40 countries for leisure, business trips 2x a month), I have never seen such bad customer service. It was a most unpleasant experience. Hotel tried to charge us USD35 for a baby crib, we sent an email through booking.com to cancel this since the...
