It is quiet a climb to reach the estate but well worth the trip! The estate is surrounded by all sort of fruit trees, herbs and spices. No more visit to a spice garden its all in nature! it was explained when we did the tour of rubber picking, a great experience! Delicious meals! kind hospitality.

It was wonderful having you and your family stay with us. The plantation experiences we did together were good fun and we are thrilled you enjoyed it too! Your family was very enthusiastic about nature and the experiencing local life, so it was nice for us to bring you closer to a less touristic Sri Lanka :) hope you enjoyed...

We stayed at Pantiya Estate Bungalow for 10 days in early February - and have been feeling the benefits ever since. Not only did we have a wonderful, relaxing holiday but our health improved there too! The setting was stunning, surrounded by virbrant trees, flowers and birds. The air was clean and we had blue skies and sunshine everyday. Sitting...

I am finding it impossible to review the bungalow at Pantiya by making comparisons with any other holiday or travel experiences. The bungalow is in a completely tranquil setting sitting high on a hill surrounded by carefully maintained gardens which blend seamlessly into lush vegetation. There is a faded grandeur to the bungalow but it's on a friendly human scale...

We had a wonderful time at the bungalow. Our hosts treated us like warmly welcome guests in their home and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The setting is incredible and exploring the area a little bit allows for a taste of what seems like the real Sri Lanka. The food was delicious and...

We visited with our two year old daughter in Jan/Feb 2013. Although the journey to get there can be less than pleasant at times (rough, bumpy and a little bit scary) it was most definitely worth it. The hospitality was amazing, they couldn't do enough to look after us. We had the place to ourselves so could choose to be/sleep...

Lovely to hear from you and thank you so much for your review. We also had a fantastic time when you stayed with us and specially your cute little daughter stole our hearts! We are really happy you enjoyed the birthday celebrations with the local children. It was very good of you to spend time with them and give them...

We spent a relaxing night there after a hectic 2 week trip around Sri Lanka. The Bungalow is located in the hinterland only about 25 minutes from Bentota, but it is so peaceful and tranquil it feels like you are even further away. You can watch a beautiful sunset over the sea, and then see the lights of Colombo in...

If you want to experience Sri Lanka rather than be a tourist then this is the place to stay. The bungalow is set on the top of the Pantiya Estate plantation in lush green vegetation with a view out over the valley. We were welcomed with bougainvillea garlands and a coconut drink after our long journey from the airport. It...

I was staying at pantiya bungalow for 1 week during my travel around Sri Lanka with my family. It was fabulous! We were given a warm welcome by the hostess Irischa who had prepared flowers and king coconut for our arrival. The rooms were clean and very spacious. We selected this bungalow based on the reviews and the photos they had on their site, while it was a wonderful location, most things that could go wrong, went wrong. Travel tip: Try not to take low profile vehicles. Try to organise a jeep or 4x4 and travel during daytime. From the main road, it's about 20-30 mins uphill and...

Dear Sirs We are deeply saddened to read your negative reviews on our holiday bungalow. As you can see we have never received any negative reviews from past guests, which was something we were very proud of until now. Unfortunately due to the bad weather conditions we faced over the weekend, the power was down which I believe affected a...

“No A/C in the pool view rooms but it wasnt needed as it cooled down nicely at night. Bring earplugs if you're not used to jungle noises!”

“the 2 large family rooms in the main bungalow are air conditioned & would be much more comfortable”
abey_12, 18 Apr 2016 | Read review
“if you must, try the two suites inside the main house”
BestTravelBug, 6 Jan 2016 | Read review
“If you are looking for "5 star luxury" sanitised accommodation this is not for you. If you need a cooler room stay in the main house, I like the pool rooms but they are warmer and you will share them with ants.”
reluctanttraveller53, 21 Mar 2015 | Read review
“The pool rooms are adequate but you will find you can hear your neighbours in the bedrooms and the bathrooms - go with people you love! The suites are grander in an old world way and the air-conditioner do their job well enough to keep an English baby happy!”
