Sujatha's Homestay, on a little hill-top post a sudden steep climb, is a green & scenic place to stay in Kandy, though a little away from the town center. The rooms are neat, clean and homely and the hosts (we met only Roney, as his wife Sujatha was away travelling across India) warm and friendly. If you get talking to...

It's very important to start your travels in a foreign land with good first impressions. Thanks to Sujatha's and Roney's hospitality and helpful insights and tips, we fell in love with Sri Lanka even before exploring it completely. And then there were the rooms - homely, clean and decorated with some of Roney's own paintings. The compound is like a...

This was our first ever stay in a home stay and we absolutely loved it! Upon our arrival, Roney made us feel very comfortable. A beautiful home, away from the city, with such good ambiance. The rooms were neat, spacious and contemporary. Breakfast was delicious too. We stayed here for one night only but wished to stay longer. The only...

Arranged pick up was fine. Our welcome was very warm with lovely couple Sujatha and her husband Roney. They provide a feeling that you have met them before and...

We only stayed for one night but thought Roney and Sujatha's home was absolutely beautiful and their hospitality great. We really enjoyed talking to the family. Delicious breakfast and the room was lovely and clean. It's about a 10 minute tuk tuk out of Kandy town but we were really glad of this! They were able to organise tuk tuks...

Sujatha and Roney are the true stars of this homestay. They are so nice, friendly and caring. We stayed here for three nights during the last day of the perahera. We have never stayed in a homestay before, and it was not until our arrival we quite understood the concept, but Roney and Sujatha were warm, friendly and very welcoming, and Roney told us several interesting facts of Sri Lanka, as he helped us plan our tours, and he recommended places to eat. He even learned our boys a Sri...

The property is in a quiet village outside of town. The owner was very welcoming. The room has all the requisite amenities. Delicious Sri Lanka breakfasts were provided. Main drawback is having to travel to town. This may not matter is you plan to make a day of your sightseeing, or you are being picked up by a tour operator.

Although its around 10 mins drive from town centre, the stay is nice. The owner is friendly. The room is clean, spacious and modern. You can walk around the small garden. The breakfast is good too. I recommend u should go visit mr rony if u stay in kandy.
