We had a great experience in this old colonial tea estate bungalow. Situated in Matale, Ankumbra it is less well travelled and feels far, far away high up in the hills. The estate itself is beautiful and the bungalow is a large colonial manor with 5 guest rooms, dining room and games room. We had the whole place to ourselves...

Very comfortable and place to relax, very kind staffs. Have a big play ground to play out door games. There are badminton game court, golf course, pool table and everything. Ideal place to leisure your time with family. This place is just 10km from my home. I recommend this place to everyone

As Belinda Carlisle once said "ooh heaven is a place on earth" and that place is ancoombra tea planation. We arrive here on our honeymoon after a busy wedding and long flights and the was the most prefect chill out. The views are incredible. Mists rising from the valley at sunrise and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The food was incredible,...

Lovely scenic site, outstanding staff, beautiful stay in all respects. Terrance and Appu did a great job, and we give this our warmest commendation. The only thing to watch out for is that the road up is in some disrepair and better signage would make the place easier to find.

Breath taking views! The staff was incredible. If you're looking to just relax for a couple of days in a picturesque mountain setting, this is the place! Stayed there for 3 days with the family in March and loved every second of it. Can't wait to go back.

We only stayed here one night but I wish it had been longer. An amazing place - breathtaking views, homely rooms, and friendly helpful staff. We were lucky enough to have the bungalow to ourselves and it was reminiscent of spending an evening at your grandparents house. Constant tea and biscuits, comfy lounge area, games room and a beautiful garden...

I stood in this lovely place for two nights. This old fashioned house from the colonial era has a certain genuine spirit. You can relax in an athmosphere of paradise surrounded by lots of nice flowers and trees. The rooms invite to meditate, to draw or to write poems. Good food is served by nice people always in shape toansweryourquestionsand...

Our family just got back from a visit to Sri Lanka. The highlight of our trip was our visit to the Hatale Tea Garden Bungalow. The views are amazing. The food and service provided by the staff was excellent. We can't wait to go back.
