The guest house is really laid back, and is perfectly located so it's really easy to get around everywhere in Kandy! Mr Malik is a lovely man, and runs a lovely guest house! I reeally recommend this Place!

I travelled with a group of 17 students to Sri Lanka this fall. Palm Garden was recommended because it is located only a 5 minute tuk-drive from the city center, and because of the spacious terrace. We stayed there for 4 days, always receiving the help we needed. One night we stayed in for dinner, the personell cooked for 3...

I stayed at the palm Garden in Kandy only for 1 night on my way from Colombo to Nilambe. I arrived in kandy after dark and Mr Malik very kindly picked me up from the Train Station. He helped me with my bags to a lovely twin room with excellent facilities. He then kindly drove me to his other Hotel,...

It was really nice. A little bit outside the centre, but cheap (3000 rupees for double room). There was a mosquito net, good working wifi and really friendly staff. The owner arranges different things, for example cars with driver or tours around Kandy.

Rooms are basic, but do the trick. Probably not the fault of the guesthouse but there were some very chirpy screaming kids for neighbours that have quite the vocal reach at the break of dawn. And they just don't stop... Well at least you'll be up bright and early.

We were at our wits end searching for a hotel for a group including a wheelchair. Fortune smiled on us finding Malik and the Palm Garden. If you want super service, convivial host and relaxed ambience, you won't be disappointed. Bonus for us, Malik speaks fluent French. Despite the construction works in progress outside, we had a great stay in...
