I don't think there are any other hotels that are this close (easy walking distance) to the ruins of Polonnaruwa. The welcome wasn't particularly warm, the room was quite sparse and sterile but the aircon was great. Wifi only available in common areas. Apparently the newer section's rooms are much better so request those when you book. There is a...

The hotel is located in a central position for visiting Polonnaruwa archeological site. Staff is ok even if not very informed about general information about the area. Room was ok but still really bad ventilation and we had the noise coming from the kitchen all evening long. They tried to be as much kind as possible, but just when we...

Quiet little restaurant packed away inside a hotel near the museum. Good choice of food on the menu and the setting is very clean. They also have a beautiful pool although not sure if you can use it unless you are a guest?

We arrived at the hotel following a long journey. The room we had was in the old part of the hotel, looking onto the back of the hotel, we had no balcony, the room and furnishings were old and broken. We requested to change the rooms, unfortunately they were full, however they agreed to move us the following morning. We...

When we arrive and checked into the hotel, our room smelt musty and the shetts were damp. we were quickly shown to another room overlooking tje pool which was much nicer. Food in the restaurant was tasty and the staff were helpful. A good base for exploring the local area and the pool is fab.

Booked this hotel because we were looking for something mid range for a single night and decided upon a hotel rather than a guest house. I expected basic accommodation. The room smelt musty although my friend's room smelt ok. Ordered a basic lunch, the chicken sandwich was edible but contained a lot of skin. The curry and rice looked good....

Probably the best available mid-ranger in town. Although the location and nice swimming pool are a big win here, the quality of rooms is disappointing. Dark and mouldy rooms in the old block of the hotel. No matter how much baygon or lemon-scented chemicals they spray, it doesn't clean the mouldy smell in the rooms. The restaurant's food is good....

We have booked this hotel as last minute option with a third party website. Let me start with the positives: escellent location in Pollonaruwa, minutes walk to all the main sites and to the beautiful lake (highly recomended to visit at sun sets end take in the serene atmosphere). Very nice garden and swimming pool. Decent breakfast but need some...
